Chapter 15: Recovered

Beep.

God, how many times did you have to wake up to that darn heart monitor?!

"Hey (Y/N)." You heard Bender say. He looked like his normal cold self, but had a soft look in his metallic eyes.

"Hey, I had an idea." You remembered.

"Let's hear it." Bender answered.

"You've saved my ass twice now. I feel indebted so...wait did I say ass?" You did a double take.

Bender nodded as if to say, "Duh."

You facepalmed. You were still laying down on the hospital bed. "I've hung out with you for too long." you muttered.

Bender smirked.

"Yes you have." he replied.

"Well, since you saved me twice, why not I do something in return? Wanna go to Elzar's tonight?"

Bender's eyes widened.

"Did...did you say Elzar's?!" he said, excitement leaking through his normally cold personality. You smiled at his reaction.

"Yup. Elzar's. Tonight."

"Oh would I! I mean, ahem... that would be okay, I guess." He said, regaining his composure.

You laughed. "Whatever, tin can."

Bender looked at you when you called him 'tin can' but he was glad that he had another nickname. It made him feel loved.

"Up yours, furbag." He shot back. 

You attempted to sit up, several bones cracking in the process. You stood up shakily and stretched.

"It's good to be home." You said. You looked at the walls around you.

You smiled.

It was good to be home.
