I am SO SORRY I haven't updated. I have currently 4 projects, 5 finals, and I have to make 4 videos.

So you can see why I would't have time.

I managed to get this chapter done because I stayed up until 2am in the morning. So yeah. It's a little sacrifice to pay when you guys have been so devoted to this book.

Once June hits, there will be so many more updates, I swear you guys will be in heaven.

Just hang in there a little longer! 'Kay?

Your glasses made a satisfying 'clink' sound as they chimed together. As the glasses pulled away, you could tell that Bender was resisting the urge to chug his down immediately. You found yourself quietly giggling as you daintily drank your blue milk.

"So, how are ya?" you asked, searching desperately for a conversation starter.
"Why do you ask?"
"I'm just asking a simple thing, jeez. Plus you aren't making conversation."
"I am. I'm finishing my drink first." Bender replied stoutly, finishing the last of his drink before signing.

Before he could continue, Elzar brought out the food.

"That was unnervingly fast." You commented, looking at (F/F).
"What can you say, it's Elzar!" Bender shrugged.

You wolfed down your food, as impolite as that was. I should've seen this coming, you thought. Hang out with Bender for too long and your manners go out the window. You shook your head, chuckling to yourself. Then you heard music.

"Is there... music... playing...?" You frowned.

Bender scrunched up his face in thought for a brief moment before he realized something. A sly smile crept up his face.
"Bender?" You asked, getting slightly nervous.

That's when you noticed it.

Behind him was a dance floor you had never noticed before. A sign in front of it said "just built".

"I know where this is going." You mumbled, the pieces slowly coming together.
Bender's grin only got wider.
"Look, I don't dance, okay?" You informed him, your ears turning red.
Bender made a face to say 'oh really now'.
"I'm serious!"
Bender looked even more amused as a slight redness appeared in your cheeks.

"The only dancing I know how to do are Neko Tribal dances-"

Bender knew he had won.

"Dang it." You cursed, as your fate was sealed. Bender stood up and grabbed your hand, dragging you to where other couples had already started dancing. He stood so you were face to face.

"I told you, I don't know how to dance!" You told him, still a little flustered.
"I'll teach you." He said, which made your cheeks turn red.
"Okay," you frowned, trying to shrug off your obvious embarrassment.

"You put your hand here." Bender instructed, tapping his shoulder. You hesitantly extended your arm and placed it on his shoulder. Bender seemed to keep his cool.
"And I take your hand like this." He talked you through it, grasping your hand.

"I've only ever seen dancing in movies," you admitted.
"It's about time you learn, right?" Bender smirked.
You nodded.

"And I put my other hand here." Bender placed his hand on your hip. You tensed. He must've noticed, because his next comment was: "Don't worry, I'm not moving my hand anywhere. It's only supposed to sit on your hip." He reassured you. Still, you couldn't help but blush a little more.

"Now what...?" You prompted Bender. You were both standing still.

"Now you follow my lead. And don't step on my feet. Just because they're metal doesn't mean it doesn't hurt." Bender warned you. You couldn't help but giggle. Then he pushed slightly, making you take a step backward.

Odd, you thought.

Then he pulled back a little and you stepped towards him.

How does this work? How is it that wherever he moves, I'm stuck following him? I'm not even trying! You frowned again.

"Now do you get it?" Bender was slightly impatient, but you couldn't blame him. That was his nature! There was only so much of him that would change because of you. Or could change, rather.

"I think so." You looked at him. Before he could move again, you stopped him. "But what if people look at us weird?" You sighed. "I'm sure people are bound to notice how bad I am at this-"
"Are you always this self-deprecating?" Bender interrupted.
"Well, it's kind of hard not to when people have hated you all of your life." You said quietly, putting your head down.
"The past is the past." He said, making you lift up your head.

"Right?"
"Right." You nodded, smiling.
"Now can we dance, Ms. I'm-A-Terrible-Dancer?" He asked, exasperated.
"Hey! It's true!" You said.
"We'll see about that."

Bender took you around the dance floor. You had never danced before, but you found yourself following his lead. Your feet moved in pace with his effortlessly. You relaxed, and the hand on your hip didn't seem so weird anymore. Your surroundings were blurred, even though you weren't moving all that fast. All you could see was him-

God. What on earth were you turning into?!

But you did love him. That fact wouldn't change. Or at least not for a while. You rested your head on his shoulder, making him tense this time. You couldn't see his face, but you were pretty sure he was smiling.

Bender had a wonderful talent - to pull you out of reality. To reach into the seams of the impossible and draw you in. To make you feel like you could cross that boundary, no matter how hard it may seem. To show you a new reality, a world you had never seen before. New possibilities, new variables, new endings and new beginnings. His imagination and yours entertaining until they were one being, inseparable, dependent on one another.

And once he was finished, he would extend a hand and pull you back into the world you were both in.

Together.
