Chapter 30

Kats pov
Luke held my hand as we drove down the street to Max's house. 
"Why can't we just go see a movie or something instead." Luke went in and on about all the things we could do instead of me going back to Max's house.
"My moms picking me up at 5 plus you have a meeting later with her."
"So we have enough time to go do something."
"Well we're already here anyways." I sighed as he pulled into the drive way to Max's home. "Come in with me." I said. He just sighed in return. "I'm not going to be questioned alone." I said crossing my arms across my chest. "Well looks like we're going somewhere else," Luke said starting the car back up. "No, Luke. Just come with for 5 minutes then you can go." He shut the car off again and mumbled something I couldn't quite hear as he got out.
I knocked on the door 3 times, "Coming!" Max yelled from the other side of the door.
"Finally, what took you so long?" Max asked pulling me inside. "Shower troubles." I shrugged and plopped down on the couch next to Calum. "So, what happened to you two last night?" Max asked.
"Cherish got us kicked out." Luke answered for me.
"How?" Calum asked
"Something about an under age drinking policy." I shrugged it off. I don't really remember the details of what I said to make Cherish want to get me kicked out. I knew soon I would regret it but I didn't care, today was going well for me.
"So Luke, you never answered my question from earlier." Calum said.
Luke rolled his eyes and sighed. "5 minutes are up." Luke got up walking towards the door. "Luke, wait," I called out following him. "What's he talking about?" I asked, I wanted to know what this was all about.
"Nothing, it was stupid. I'll see you later okay." Luke kissed me, burin could tell he was just trying to get out of the situation.
I pulled him back, "No, just stay a little while longer."
Luke sighed and reluctantly walked back into the living room. "So, anyways, do you guys want to go get something to eat or something?" Max asked. "No thanks, I already ate." Luke said.
I could practically feel the heat rising to my cheeks, "Well I didn't, why don't we go get something to eat?"
"Sure." Calum shrugged his shoulders.

"Hey Max, how bout you ride with Luke, and Kat rides with me?" Cal suggested, but I'm not too sure why. "Um, I'd rather not." Luke rejected grabbing my hand. "I'd rather just ride with Kat. "You know what just for acting like you didn't want me in your car, now I'm riding with you, come on Lucas." Max said pulling him towards the door. I giggled and laughed, their friendship is the weirdest. It's a love hate thing but I know that they love each other like siblings. "No Lana Del Rey, No One Direction, please no boy bands in general," Luke said to Max as they walked to the car. "You're in a boy band Luke." Max said crossing her arms. "Okay but that doesn't matter." I heard Luke object as they got into the car.
I laughed as I got into Calums car. "Those goofs." I said shaking my head laughing. Calum smiled as he backed out behind Luke. "So I know you didn't just ask me to ride in your car with you for no reason."
"You are correct." Calum said focusing on the road.
"So?" I said, if I was going to be questioned might as well get it over with now.
"What exactly happened with you and Luke last night, be honest." Calum said suddenly very serious. I felt the need to tell him the truth, he seemed serious. "I'm assuming you already know." I said.
"I have my theories." Calum said.
"Which consist of?"
"Did you and Luke, you know, have sex last night."
I was silent I didn't want to answer the question. It was like telling your father that you had drunk sex with someone. "I think you know the answer to that question."
"Was he your first time Kat?"
I rolled my eyes. I really didn't want to talk to Calum of all people about this. "I really don't feel comfortable talking about it." I laughed.
"It's just a yes or a no, come on be serious." Calum said
"Okay, yes, and?"
"Okay," Calum started. "Just don't get too, you know. Attached to Luke."
I didn't understand what he meant by attached. What was he trying to say. "Let me put this in light terms. Luke is what you teenagers of the year 2015 like to call a fuck boy." I laughed he really sounded like someone's grandpa. But yet I got what he was saying. I didn't like it but yeah I got it. "You know I feel as if you're not taking me seriously." Calum tried to keep himself from smiling and keep his serious exterior. " I am, I am. I get what you're saying. But Luke already said to me that he wanted like, I real relationship with me."
"I get that, but I know Luke. And I'm in no position to put his business out there if he doesn't want me to but he doesn't exactly have the best reputation." Calum said.
I nodded, "I get it."
"I just don't want to see you get hurt, over the past couple of months you've really grown on me. Almost like a sister."
"Please Calum, stop with the mushy shit, alcohol is still in my system and quite frankly I don't feel like crying." Calum and I laughed. "Just remember what I said okay."
I nodded and smiled. It was nice knowing that someone cares. Calum and I joked around with each other as we drove down the road stopping shortly for gas before we got a phone call from Luke. "You know, I've been driving for 15 minutes and I just noticed that I have no real destination and quite frankly this is a hazard to my health because Max listens to some weird ass music and I don't know whether I should cry or scream." Luke sounded very frustrated as Max loudly sung lyrics into the phone. "Yeah we just noticed that too." Calum said laughing. "I guess the usual, IHOP." Calum said." The response was more of Max's singing.
I was surprised at how well everything was going, life was good for me at the moment. And I was loving it.
"Luke, Luke watch out there's a car-"
I heard Max scream, followed by a loud crashing sound.
My body went numb as the only thing I heard was Calum yell into the phone.
There was no response
