Chapter 5

Kat's POV

I was really surprised I had more fun on the roller coaster than I thought I would but I was still scared half to death.

"you have fun?" mars ask putting his arm around my shoulder.

"Actually yeah I did."

" I can't tell you held on to me like your life depended on it."

"shut up." I said playfully hitting his arm. "Now I believe you owe me ice cream."

"I'll get you ice cream if you give me your number."

Luke's POV

Are you kidding me? I scoffed causing Mars to look at me.

"Do you really think she's going to give you her number I mean you just met today and I think your gonna have to try much harder than ice cream to get a girls number."

Kat looked at me with a surprised look.

"Luke wha-"

"Look man last time I checked I asked Kat for her number I never asked Luke for his input so back off."

" I just think its kinda pathetic considering the fact that you have no chance with her I'm just stating the facts." I said shrugging my shoulders walking off.

"Douche bag." I heard Mars mumble under his breath.

I turned around face to face with him.

"Wanna say that to my face?"

I dont care what comes out the kids mouth next I'm ready to beat the crap out of him.

"I think you heard me." Mars said taking his arm off Kat's shoulder and stepping closer to me.

"s-stop you two I don't think this is necessary." Kat said, no one was listening to her anyway so whatever she had to say was a waste of breath.

I pushed Mars in the chest. "wanna repeat it jackass."

Mars returned the push and before I knew it we were in a shoving match and I threw the first punch. I could hear Kat yelling for us to stop but fuck stopping and I didn't care about the possibility of paparazzi being arfound.

Kat's POV

I honestly don't know what was happening but I know that Luke and Mars were beating the shit out of each other.

"Cal, Ash, Mike damn it someone help!"

Calum and Michael ran over and pulled the two off each other.

"Get the fuck off me!" Luke yelled shoving Calum off him and walked off.

"Luke, wait!" I yelled running towards him. For someone who was only walking damn he was fast. I finally caught up to him."Luke what the hell was that all about?!"

" You were there Kat you know what happened now fuck off."

"No tell me why the hell did u fight him and why didn't you want me to give him my number."

"He called me a fucking douche bag and you just met the guy why would you give him your number."

"Considering I gave you my number the first day I met you that's not a valid reason Luke."

Luke sat on a nearby bench, blood dripping from his cheek where he had a bad gash.

"Whatever Kat I don't want to talk about it just go away your being annoying as fuck."

I sat next to him and he glared at me and put his head in his hands. I looked around in my purse for my first aid kit, I'm a very clumsy person soi have to keep one close at all times. I pulled out a wet wipe and a band aid and stood up. I put my hand under Luke's chin and pulled his head up so I could see the cut on his cheek. Surprisingly he didn't push my hand away.

"what are you-"

"Hold still this might burn a little."

I used the wet wipe to clean the cut and Luke winced in pain. I muttered a apology and put the band aid on him. I sat back down, neither one of us saying anything. My phone started ringing and I saw it was Ashton.

" yes?"

"Are you ok? Where are you? What happened?"

"I'm fine, we're on the east side next to the food court, and I don't know really."

"come to the parking lot we're leaving."

I ended the call.

"who was it?"

" it was Ashton he said come to the parking lot we're leaving."

we got up and started walking towards the exit.

"you know if my mom finds out about this your in some deep shit."

"don't you think I know that I'm not stupid."

"so your not afraid of losing your job?"

"Whatever happens, happens why are you so worried about me?"

"I'm not just worried about you don't you realize that if you get fired the whole band could be in jeopardy?"

"they could easily replace me so that's not happening."

I shook my head "you don't get it."

"there's nothing to get it is what it is."

I walk away from him and walk up to the car. Everyone gets in the car and Mars sits on the opposite side from Luke and sat sat back on Luke's lap same as before.

"Mars I'll drop you off first."

The car ride to Mars's house was long and silent.

" Kat what's your address I keep forgetting."

" 1127 spring street."

we pulled up to Mars's house and he got out the car and leaned in the window where me and Luke were sitting. "Kat if you want me to drop you off I can my brothers car is here."

"She's fine." Luke said through his teeth gripping my waist.

Trying to avoid another fight I just agreed with Luke. "No I'm fine thanks for the offer though." Mars glared at Luke.

"Okay bye sweetheart."

I swear I heard Luke growl.

When I got home I collapsed onto my bed and sighed in exhaustion repeating what happened in my head. All i wanted to do today was pack, eat and watch Netflix in my bed.

Luke's POV

when we got back home I immediately went upstairs and slammed the door. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't get the thoughts of Mars flirting with Kat today out of my mind. I don't know why I got so jealous and I couldn't figure it out but I then realized I really did have some true feelings for Kat. Not only did I want her to be mines, I needed her to be mines. My thoughts were interrupted by my phone ringing, it was Late mom. "hello?"

"You and the boys need to meet me at the office immediately we need to talk." before I could say anything I heard the phone click.

Shit, i was about to loose my job.
