Coldness was all I felt around me, darkness was all around me and then there was a crushing felling. Something holding me down. I looked around this dark place and tried to feel my way around but I couldn't find anything and the darkness seemed to grow darker and I feared it so I sat in my spot and hid my face in my knees, hoping someone would come and find me and lead me out of this place. I didn't like it here, I was scared, cold and darkness seemed to go on forever.
All of a sudden thunder bombed around me, it stopped then it started again and then returned again in a larger storm. The thunder stayed and then the ground around me started to shake and a sharp pain ran through my body. It felt like I was in a box, being bounced around in every direction and every time this dark placed moved I hurt more and more. Soon the bouncing had stayed still but had started up again in a rocking side to side motion. This scared me more because I didn't know the cause or reason for this happing. The rocking motion didn't seem to go away and became like it had been there forever and the pain had become the normal. I was confused and tried to find my way out of here again but heard a loud alarm noise just as I was finding a place along the endless darkness that gave me no pain and was warm. I backed away from the area a bit and the alarm was replaced with a reparative pulsing wave that made a strange yet calming noise but after a long time it was driving me crazy. It didn't go away and the cold had gotten worse and fear surrounded me along with pain. I covered my ears.
"Stop it! Stop it! Let me out! I want to go home! " I cried at the top of my lungs but my cries fell on deaf ears and pain became stronger and I fell over onto my side from my kneeling position.
After a long moment I looked up when a ray of light caught my attention. It was so bright I covered my eyes, I looked at the unnaturally white light and watched as it grew the more I looked at it. The annoying waves became softer and quieter. I looked back the darkness and saw that the light faded and I quickly turned back to it stretching an arm out to it, not wanting to be left in the dark again. The direction of the light was so warm and inviting, nothing like what I felt from the darkness at my back.
"No don't leave." I said towards the light, figures appeared in the light, they were warm and I seemed to know them. There was a group of three or four, I couldn't make them out very well because of how bright the light they stood in front of was but I knew they were there.
"We would never leave you behind sweetie." One said, her voice soft and loving. It seemed to soothe me to sleep with each syllable she spoke. It was so familiar but I still couldn't place my finger on who this woman was, I just knew that she sounded like she loved me very deeply.
"We'd miss you to much, princess." Said a kind man's voice and my eyes widened at hearing the nickname he used when talking to me. There was only one person that called me 'princess' and that person was my dad. That's when it clicked in my head.
"Mama... Papa... Is that really you?" I asked as I saw how horse my voice had gotten, I felt weak, sick, tired and helpless. I wanted to run to them and hug them but I had no energy, I couldn't lift myself off the ground.
"Don't forget about me, sport, I'm here to." I heard an old rigged voice call out from behind the two first figures.
"... Grandpa?" I asked as I then heard a chuckle from him, telling me that it was him.
"Of course it's us." Papa said but there was then a gasp from Mama.
"My poor baby, what did they do to you." Mama shrilled in shock as the light showed my body to them. I lay there on the ground unable to get up and barely move. I stole a glance at my torso and saw blood, lots of it had bleed from my abdomen and hurt beyond words. Everything was cold and sore except the little warmth and comfort that the light brought, the sounds of the waves were still in the background but not as loud as they had once been.
