As time went on and Chase spent more time in the nursing home, the nurses found that he would talk to himself or so it seemed in the beginning. But after a while they noticed that he was telling stories, he was remembering his past out loud. But as Chase told the stories something was happening to Tino's ghostly form. He was beginning to see his injuries he had received in life start to disappear as if they were healing with time. It didn't take long for Tino to look like he had when Chase first met him. Small build with a bright smile and no scars or blood. He was a happy boy again, he ran up and down the halls making the lights flicker and flash by accident because he didn't know how to control it. But then there were times that things flew across the room and down for shelves. This occurred all over the building, not only in Chase's room. The nurses started to ask questions and made comments.
"I wonder if there's ghosts haunting the place..." A nurse said as a joke.
"Well if there is any ghosts around here they better move on already. I'm not getting paid to clean up after anyone after death." She said as Tino heard them. He liked to stand around the nurses stations and listen to them but this was something that he didn't like. His little cheeks puffed out a bit as he walked over to the desk they had crowded around. He passed through a few elderly residents as he went on his way. He pulled on her skirt trying to get her attention as if he had forgotten he was dead but for the most part he didn't think about that much anymore. Chase talked enough that he had believed he was still alive until he remembered that he could walk through walls and people.
"Excuse me, Miss?... I don't mean to make a mess, I really don't. It's just that there are some things I don't know how to control..." Tino said as she walked off, not paying any mind to him due to the fact that she could not see or hear him like he had thought she would. Tino's face went to surprise as he watched her walk away after she had walked through him.
" Oh, right . . . I forgot about that... being dead isn't fun, I want people to see me again, I want to he heard... I want to see my friends and I want to give dad a hug." Tino said as his voice broke into sadness. Meanwhile all the papers and things on the desk behind him flew off onto the floor. He didn't notice but the people around sure did, they stopped and stared at the sight that was before them. Then as Tino started to cry, the lights started their usual tricks but this time the television and radios went with them. The whole home seemed to stop and take notice. A simple fit from what seemed like a child had caused the whole building to resemble a horror movie for a while. After that Tino saw what he was doing he quickly stopped or at least he tried to. But the lights still flickered a bit here and there as he ran back to Chase's room. Chase looked around as he felt the room get colder.
"You did that just now, didn't you?" Chase asked as the light flicker a yes.
Chase cracked a grin as he nodded.
"You can't do that, bud... there's people that have machines that keep them alive, if you suck the power from those... well then those people are going to get hurt or worse they might die too." Chase said as Tino backed away from the lamp and sat down against the wall, his knees to his chest as he tried to figure out how to stop taking the power away from things.
A few weeks pasted as Tino tried to figure this out but the solution he came too was one that he hadn't though possible. As he ran up and the hallways, trying to get his day to go by faster, he was board and needed something to do, this seemed like all he had. Something happened as he did this, he became visible as a somewhat see through figure. He heard a gasp as he then stopped and turned to become face to face with a nurse who had just walked out of a patient's room.
"Hello there sweetheart, did you wander away from one of your grandparents?" She asked as he noticed the glasses with thick lenses that hung around her neck on a beaded string. Tino shock his head no as he looked at her in awe.
