Line of Time

Field Trip

Soon after they arrived to the nature park and everyone got off the bus and stood around the teacher who laid down the rules that they would have to fallow for the day. The teenagers stumbled out of the bus and waited for everyone to settle down before their teachers started giving orders. 

"Alright listen up, kids. Today as you know we're in a nature park. You'll be put into groups of threes and then you'll be sent out into the forest to find things to do your projects on. Remember science is a powerful things students." The teacher said cheerfully as the next teacher took up where she left off. 

"But remember. If you can't make a responsible group by yourselves, I'll have to pick for you and we all know that won't be fun for anyone. So pick wisely. " He warned as the students quickly broke their friend groups into groups of threes as the teachers told them. 

In the end the groups seemed pretty well rounded. Lukas and Berwald found themselves with a sweet girl named Sally. She had thick glasses that hid her eyes and red hair that hung in her face. The two boys knew her as a shy girl that sat in the back of the class and took many detailed notes. Apart from the school work she always seemed to be surrounded by she was a very avid book worm who always knew about the newest reads. She was the girl that Lukas and Berwald always got their next good reads from both new and old authors. 

Mathias, Tino and Gunnar were in another group. After the teachers had approved the groups they all set out in different directions and set out into the forest. They walked for a while and said little to nothing until Tino saw something and without nothing more than a gasp made a run for whatever he had seen. Leaving his friends behind without a second thought. They watched him run off before looking at each other for a moment. 

"Tino!" Gunnar called out as he tried to wave him back over. 

"Come back! Or at least slow down!" Mathias yelled as they both started to run until they couldn't see him anymore due to the incline of a downwards hill. When they looked down the path way they saw a fork in the road. They sighed and looked at each other once again. 

"Where do you think he went in such a rush?" Mathias asked as he looked over at his brother. 

"Why would I know?" Gunnar responded as he looked over at him with a confused gaze. 

"You two are pretty much joined at the hip, plus you act like a couple or something weird like that..." Mathias said as he muttered the last part. This caused Gunnar's gaze to turn cold and Mathias felt daggers being thrown at him.  He started heading down the path that went off to the right. 

"I'll just take this path and you take the left one, holler if you find him first." Mathias told him as he walked away, leaving Gunnar behind. After letting out a puff of air Gunnar started walking down the path and after kicking something with his foot by accident he looked down and then called out for his brother. 

"Mathias! Get over here! Now!" Gunnar called out and then he bent down and picked up what he had kicked. His brother came over huffing and puffing as he came to a stop. 

"What? Did you find him, where is he?" Mathias scrambled out as he looked around.  

"He went this way." Gunnar said as he shoved what he had found towards his brother. 

"A bottle of pills? . . . This is his heart medication... You think he'll be okay without it?" Mathias asked with some fear as he walked next to his brother down the path. Gunnar looked over at him. 

"I have no idea but we'd better find soon just to make sure... "Gunnar said as they then walked for what seemed like forever and then just as they were getting seriously worried about their friend. They were about to go back and get help but then they heard something. Pained quick breathes.
