Line of Time

Meeting In After Lives

When Tino's soul faded away into the place where everyone waited for the time to tick out for their next lives to come to be. He appeared and still for the moment could not remember his soul's past in full. Only the memories of his just now ending life were fresh in his mind. But as he looked around the white area he saw a room take shape and change to comfort him to bring a feeling of safety to him. 

He was looking around as he walked about the large room and then he was attacked him from behind. A boy, a little older then him with blonde spiky hair had a tight grip on him from behind. 

Tino let out a scream as he was lifted into the air and trilled all around. Once he was once again reunited with the floor under his feet he was greeted by the smiling face of his attacker. He stood there as his smile beamed but then his face changed to sadness as he saw that Tino did not recognize him.

"You don't remember me?..." He asked as Tino brought his hands to his chest shyly as he backed away and shook his head as he looked to the ground. He was startled to find that he had bumped into a boy who seemed to be his age just a bit taller and cold eyes. 

"Why would he remember us right off the bat... I swear can you get any dumber. He just came back from a life, it's obvious that his memories wouldn't be all there from all his lives." The cold eyed boy said as he walked over and struck the taller male. 

Tino was scared now, a feeling of fear he had never felt so strongly. His eyes went wide as he fell to his knees on the ground, his hands clutching his chest as the next thing he knew he felt strong arms around him. They pulled him close to their chest and as he closed his eyes a scent traveled into his nose and filled him with memories from another time and many more beyond that one. 

He opened his eyes and his fear was gone, a smile graced his face as he looked up at the person.

"Gunnar..." He said softly as the name floated off of his tongue. He wrapped his arms around him in turn, to Gunnar's surprise and toppled them onto the floor. The boys laughed as they saw that Tino had his memories back, both good and bad but he was their Tino again. 

"I see you missed me." Gunnar said as he looked at the smaller boy who was still hugging him tightly. 

"I haven't seen you in sixteen years! What did you expect for me to just show up and say 'hey' and that be the end of it. If so you've gone insane!" Tino said as Lukas helped him up off of Gunnar and Mathias helping Gunnar to his feet. 

Tino gave Lukas and Mathias a hug in turn and once they had finished with that they found chairs in the room around them.  They sat together, Mathias with his arm around Lukas, Lukas had his legs over Mathias' as he used them as a foot rest. Gunnar had his arm firmly around Tino as Tino was nuzzled up closely to his side. Gunnar was protective of him more then ever in this moment, he feared that Tino or any one of them could be taken before their time of rest was over. They had tried to get Tino back before he was born into that life but they had failed, Tino himself had tried to reach out to them to come back to the sort of afterlife they currently in but he was caught there in the world of the living. 

But the conversation that fallowed was the one of curiosity and reminiscing. Asking about Tino's life he had lead by himself. 

"It's obvious to say that I was lost... I didn't have you guys around me to help me and things weren't that good... They're never really great but when I had you it felt like any wish was in my reach. But this time even that seemed so far away. I was in the wrong body. For the first time in all my lives, I wasn't male... I was female and it wasn't just being mistaken for a girl. That would have been alright. But I had the form of a female. No one believed me when I said that I was male, they hated me and cursed at me. But at the same time they would turn around and say they loved me... I never knew anyone could mess with mind so much until then... I'm telling you, the world has changed a lot since our last time there as a whole group... It was scary being there alone." Tino said as held onto Gunnar's shirt, Mathias and Lukas' eyes showing sympathy for their younger friend. 

"Well we won't let that happen again, we'll have our next life together, just like every other time, promise." Mathias said trying to cheer him up. 

This brought a smile to all their faces as their waiting time went on and they found new things to talk about. But time seemed to merely fly by them. 

Before they knew it Mathias' time was up. He stood with them in a final goodbye until they were old enough to meet each other in the live he was being sent into. He hugged Tino as the younger boy fought back tears, gave Gunnar nod and went to give Lukas a handshake but the boy who seemed to have no emotion in his face was on the brink of tears. Lukas jumped towards him as his silence broke and he allowed tears to flow from his eyes. Mathias caught him in a hug as they gave each other their final embrace before they would be in human forms once again. They enjoyed they closeness until Mathias broke themselves apart. He gave a sad smile to Lukas and then turned to the white light that hovered before him. He reached out towards it and when he caught it with both hands he turned back to them as he feel backwards into the floor. An opening had appeared and this would lead to his new mother's womb where he would beginning to grow his human form for this lifetime. 

Before they knew it they were saying goodbye to Lukas as he too feel down a sort of rabbit hole into new life. He had red puffy eyes like most of them had by now as they had been mourning Mathias leaving them. As he fell Gunnar had sworn he had seen for the first time in a long time since Mathias' absence he saw a smile start to being to form on Lukas' face. 

Then as Gunnar and Tino waited for the time in which they would have to say goodbye to each other... they didn't want to leave the other behind but then as the days passed on. But when it came, they looked up and saw a bright orb of light, double the size of a normal one. They stood and walked towards it to investigate it. 

A spark gave them the erg to touch it together and as they held on with both hands they felt the floor under them give way and they fell from their waiting room and into the rabbit hole into the living. The tunnel became smaller and smaller and they realized that in this life they would be bound together by a bond that brought them so much closer. They would be twins and share the same bond that was blood.
