Lexi's POV
"You guys are acting as if you've never ever been to a hotel before. All I wanted to do was check out the 3rd floor, but no. Apparently it's haunted, according to Danielle." Kurstin said, crossing her arms.
"Even if there is something up there, which I highly doubt considering the floor hasn't been used in over a decade, there will be an elevator right behind you that you can get back into." Emily persuaded.
Danielle and I sat on the couch in the middle of a hotel lobby. It was Kurstin and Danielle's birthday party that we've been planning for over a month. Everything was just fine until Kurstin decided she wanted to scope out the 3rd floor right before we ate dinner.
"Danielle, I don't think we have a choice anymore. They're going to make us go up there no matter what we say." I said.
"Alright, but if I die, I'm blaming you three." Danielle said, throwing her arms up in defeat.
Danielle and I pushed ourselves off the couch and the four of us headed to the elevator. Emily pushed the 3rd floor button and up we went. As we ascended, Danielle's grasp on Kurstin's shirt tightened.
As we reached the floor, all you heard was the little ding the elevator made and then complete silence. As the doors opened, so did each of our mouths.
"There's no turning back now."
