From now on, unless I state a different persons name before the story in an authors note, it will be Lexi's POV. Thanks my little cheese its! :)
Oh my freaking god.
There is a gross, discusting, intimidating, moldy, rotten, old, scary, falling apart, in-many-pieces, hungry, brain eating Zombie in Kurstin's house right now.
"Just stay right there so I can eat you all." He said slowly trudging over to Chad
"Ok. Ok. Maybe if we let him eat Chad, he won't eat us!" I said looking at the others
"Excuse me?" Chad stopped moving making the Zombie almost bite off his head
"Yeah. I'm ok with that." Kurstin said running up the stairs. We all followed, except Chad who we kind of locked down there.
"Sorry Chad!" we all yelled at the door at the same time
All we could hear now was the constant gnawing as the Zombie dug into his dinner. Shivers ran down my spine at the thought of an actual zombie eating an actual living person in Kurstin's basement.
Chad yelled one more time for help and that was the last we heard of him.
"Kurstin, what will your parents think when they get home?" Danielle asked in a tone that almost made her sound like a parent herself
"Um, er, actually, I don't know." She replied, now looking down at her shoes like they were the most interesting things in the world
Just then, Kurstin's parents unlocked the locked door and made their way inside.
"Kurstin, why is it so dark in here?" Her mom, Laurel, asked
"The power kind of went out." She replied. Her mom tried flipping on a couple switches and weird enough, they turned on.
"Sure it did." Her dad, John, said sarcastically
"Where's Chad?" Laurel asked while searching a cabinets for a snack
At that moment, half eaten Chad opened the basement door. His leg had a giant chunk missing, his face had a bit of damage, a knock to the head had blood running down his face, and he looked like a zombie himself.
He quickly shut the door and locked it again before the Zombie could eat the rest of us.
"It's ok. I'm perfectly fine with being locked in the basement with a flesh eating zombie." Chad said sarcastically, spitting a piece of skin on the floor.
"There's a zombie in the house!" Laurel screamed, and dropped the glass bowl she was holding in her hands.
"Honey, it's alright. He's locked in the basement." John pulled Laurel into an embrace to sooth her nerves.
She pulled away only to confront Kurstin though.
"And Kur-Bear," did she just call Kurstin, Kur-Bear?! "Why did you lock your brother in the basement with a zombie?!"
"Uh, er, Because Lexi, Danielle, and Emily are to amazing." I came out of her mouth as more of a question than a statement
"That's no excuse! Bring me your iPod this instant." Her mom yelled
Kurstin ran full speed up to her room to grab her precious white iPod. Well, that's what she calls it. I think she ran full speed considering her mom would unleash her wrath any second.
"I'm leaving." Chad said storming out the door. Well, I hope he's going to the hospital because that zombie just tore him up.
Kurstin was now back downstairs, crying at her moms feet.
"But mom! It's like my life, ok. I'm seriously going to die if one of my Wattpad books updates and I don't have my iPod in my hands to read it!"
"You can read whatever updates tomorrow. What's Wattpad? I hope it's not some virtual pad for a virtual period." her mom responded
"Mom!" Kurstin said, blushing. Me, Emily, and Danielle burst out laughing which made Kurstin's entire face and neck turn red.
"Redneck!" I whisper shouted in Emily and Danielle's ears. Just a little inside joke we share.
Flashback
"Ok guys, guess what I'm going to be for Halloween?" Kurstin said, during our 11:00 lunch. It was out 8th grade year and boy was it the best by far out of all the years I've gone to school so far.
"Perrie Edwards?" I questioned, considering she told me 2 weeks ago.
"A werewolf hunter?" Emily asked. She told us that one too.
"No and no." Kurstin said, satisfied with our guesses
Emily then mentioned something about Kurstin's crush. I don't quite remember though. Kurstin's face and neck turned a bright tomato red and I started laughing.
"I know was she's gonna be," I whispered in Emily's ear, "A REDNECK!"
We both burst out laughing, making Kurstin's neck and face turn even more red.
End of flashback
At that moment, the home phone started ringing. Laurel moved over to the side a bit and picked up the phone.
"Hello?"
"Alrighty."
"Yes, me and my husband will be there as soon as we can."
"Thank you."
"Bye."
We only heard Laurel's part of the conversation. We were oblivious to the rest.
"John, Chad died in a car accident."
OMG my little cheese its! Suspense has just smacked you square in the face.
Picture of Chad to the side ---->
Just thought you might like to see what he looked like before he got devoured by a zombie and killed in a car accident.
Also, the song Teenagers by My Chemical Romance is to the side
----->
It's really good at describing high schoolers that's for sure.
T3F Fact #1
That flashback actually happened
T3F Fact #2
Kurstin doesn't really have a brother in real life
I'm gonna be doing these facts from now on because I think they really help you understand more about the characters and me.
