The 3rd Floor

Chapter 6

~Chapter 6~ VIDEO

*Lexi's POV*

"H-how do you know my name?" Emily asked

"I know everything." The strange person said

I highly doubt that. No human has enough brain capacity to remember everything.

"Who said I am human?" They said

Alright. Well this is awkward. I didn't know a human couldn't be human. Ok now I'm confusing myself.

"Why are we trapped on this floor? I want to go swimming!" Kurstin whined

"Everyone has reasons, but my reasons are better than everyone elses." They replied

"And who are you?" I asked

They stepped out into the dim light there was. It came from a small window next to the couch.

"I'm someone you wouldn't expect to see."

It was hard to tell the gender of the strange being, but they had long hair so I figured it was a girl. It was a deep, dark brown that was almost black. She was wearing a dark red dress that flowed passed her ankles if she even had any. She seemed to be floating, but I couldn't tell because she was sort of hovering too.

"Yes, I am a girl."

"And your name?" Emily asked

"Katey." They said and then she turned around. "I'm just here to help, not stay. When you need me, I will come and when you don't, I will leave." Then, she vanished.

I decided to explore some more.

Therefore, I walked in front of Emily and Kurstin into a hallway. The lights turned on and a breeze blew a door open. Kurstin and Emily jumped while I walked in. There was a bathroom to my left and a closet to my right. I walked further in to find 2 beds pushed together and a small, old-school tv. There was a VCR on the counter the tv was sitting on, so I grabbed it and put it into the player.

The tv flicked on and a woman and a man pop on the screen.

"If your watching this, it must be the future. Me and my husband were staying in this hotel on the 3rd floor for a weekend get away."

The woman paused for a second and all 3 of us looked at each other. Then we looked back at the screen.

"After we got back from the pool, we started hearing noises. We decided to make a video for the future so that other people could see if something happened to us."

The man just sat there with almost the same blank expression as Emily had.

Creepy.

Then something flashed behind them. The man was swung out of the chair he was sitting on. The force pushed him through a wall. The woman sat in utter silence with tears in her eyes. After a few seconds, she was flung the same way.

They lay in the wall together, Dead.

Then, the tv flickered off and the VCR popped out of the player.

Me, Emily, and Kurstin just stared at each other in silence. I was really scared.

When we started hearing noises, we ran back to the elevator and started screaming and pounding on it. I was crying and I think Emily was too. Kurstin was just screaming and fighting back the tears.

When no one answered, I knew we were alone for the night. At least I hope we'll be alone.
