The 3rd Floor

Chapter 10

Hey guys! Hope the last chapter made you go crazy! They finally got off of that stupid haunted floor. I know it was kind of rushed, but I was dragging the last few chapters and I thought about finally having something good happen.

It's not over yet!

Lexi's POV

I woke to the smell of delectable breakfast treats. Pancakes, waffles, you name it, I smelled it.

I walked out of the room in my biggest, comfiest sweatshirt.

I headed to the dining room. As I walked in, my nose was immediately filled with the delectable food I was about to eat.

I quickly spotted Emily, Kurstin, Danielle, and the moms sitting at a table near by. Emily was covered in band aids and Kurstin was shoveling food in her face.

I walked over and pouted.

"Thanks for bringing me." I sarcastically said and headed over to fill a plate.

I picked up enough to fill maybe 5 plates and stuffed it into one plate. I didn't feel like getting up for a while, so I stuffed my plate.

As I sat down, my heart started racing. I was getting ready to stuff my face with a plate piled high with food.

"Wow. Pig much?" Kurstin giggled handing me my silverware and a napkin, knowing I probably wasn't gonna use the silverware.

Danielle just looked up from her plate for a moment, and then continued to stuff her face.

As I started to slow down at the end of my 2nd plate, the moms got up and headed back to the room.

"Spill it. What happened up there?" Danielle questioned to me, Kurstin, and Emily.

"We got attacked by a few ghosts, but that's all." Kurstin quickly responded.

"Well that makes sense." Danielle sighed. "Not very interesting though."

"Well, we did see this creepy video some people made." Emily said

"Yea! We walked into a random room and saw a tv with a VCR tape sitting next to it. We put it in and watched the tape. A woman and a man were talking at first and the man had a look on his face that Emily had once. Suddenly, he was flung back into the wall. The lady shed a single tear and then was flung back herself. They both died on the 3rd floor. It made us think we were gonna die, considering the looks that were the same." I said taking a deep breath after Because I was out of breath.

"Sounds creepy." Danielle managed to get out.

After a moment of silence, Emily suggested we go back to our room. We walked back, again in silence. The moms were packing when we got to the room. Therefore, we started packing as well.

We walked out of the hotel, delighted that we finally got to go home. Oh no! I totally forgot about my parents! Emily did too!

I quickly dialed the house phone. My mom answered.

"Lexi." She answered in a low voice.

"Yea mom?" I asked

"Your alright! I've been so worried!" She responded

"Me, Emily, and Kurstin got trapped on the 3rd floor. Danielle didn't."

"Oh honey. Why didn't anyone get you down?" She asked

"The elevator wasn't working at first, but then Danielle tried and out of luck, it worked."

"That's wonderful! I'm glad your safe. When will you be home?" My mom asked.

"We are driving home now." I responded

"Alrighty! Bye bye."

"By mom."

We all hopped into the car and started to drive. Emily called her mom and had about the same conversation that I had with my mom.

"Hey Lexi, can I come to your house? My mom isn't gonna be home all week and I don't have a key."

"Yea I'm sure my mom won't mind let me just text her."

•THE TEXT•

"Hey mom, can Emily stay for the week? Her parents are away for a week and she doesn't have a key."

"Yea, what about clothes?"

"She brought a lot on our trip to the hotel, but we are about the same size I think. She can borrow mine."

"Alright honey! See you guys soon!"

•BACK TO REALITY•

"Yea Emily! She said it was fine."

"Great!"

She told her mom and quickly hung up the phone.

Kurstin's mom suddenly slowed down pulling the car up to my house. Me and Emily said thank you and got out. We both walked up to my house and waved goodbye.

"And the best week ever begins!" I thought as I opened the door.
