Hope everyone had a very merry Christmas/Kwanza/Hanukah/whatever other holiday there is! I certainly did! (:

"She's dead, I just know she is."

"Emily, stop being ridiculous."

"You know, she could be right."

"Brad your so stupid sometimes, man."

I unexpectedly giggle, which made the room extremely quiet.

"You guys are all stupid." I giggle again. Ok, I don't usually giggle this much so what's up?

I force my eyes open and my smile fades. I'm the hospital. I sit up a bit and rub my now throbbing forehead. After looking around the room, I focus on my own body which is not that bad.

"Does it hurt?" Don said

"Does what hurt?" I said completely confused. He pointed to my arm, but kept his eyes locked with mine

I looked down and realized why Don wouldn't look. My arm was covered in blood and you could see part of my bone.

"The doctors gave you medicine about an hour ago, but it really looks like it hurts." Brad chimed in

"Ok I don't care about the medicine. I want to know how this happened!" My tone was a little more mean than I intended it to be.

"Well, after you passed out, Don started to freak. He was flailing his arms everywhere and he was kicking too. Anyway, he bumped you in the head multiple times which caused you to be unconscious for about a day now." Danielle stopped for a breath

"That doesn't explain the giant gash in my arm Danielle!"

"I'm getting to that! Like I was saying, after you became unconscious, Brad started to punch the zombie, which only made it madder. The zombie sort of jumped on him and when he pushed him off, the zombie landed on you. It must've been extremely hungry because it took a really big bite out of your arm, but that was a big mistake. Don immediately lunged at the zombie and started to rip it apart piece by piece, or should I say limb by limb."

"You shouldn't have knocked me out in the first place, Don." I glared at him

Wow! Who knew all that could happen when someone was unconscious. I just thought they would throw it out a window or something, but no! Something cool happened and I wasn't there to see it. On the other hand, not being conscious when you get a huge bite taken out of you could be a positive thing.

"So when do I get to go home?" I asked, and then immediately checked my phone for the date, 1 day before school stared up again

"Today at noon." Kurstin said, looking up from her phone

"That's right now, Kurstin." Danielle said in a 'duh' tone

"Well then get me out of this horrible hospital gown!" I practically screamed

"Calm down! I brought you your favorite outfit. Your American Eagle skinny jeans with the white design on the butt, fluffy star socks, brown Bear Paws, and blue Pink sweatshirt." Kurstin said, reaching into a plastic bag at her side

"Oh, you know me so well!" I said hopping up. Then the pain hit me.

"Take it easy." Don whispered in my ear

I just glanced over his way and then back at Kurstin.

"A little help here! My arm hurts!" I whined

She carefully lifted my arm with her hand and lead me to the closest women's bathroom.

I can't go in the stall with you, you know."

I held back a laugh, but a smile was still on my lips.

"I know." I said and Kurstin handed me the bag

She walked out of the bathroom and I walked into the stall. Well, this is gonna be challenging.

"You know, I really missed school." I said to Danielle as we approached my locker

"Well, this whole summer was terrible so I can see why." She said, looking into my small locker mirror

"It wasn't that bad." I held back a laugh, "Ok, I take that back."

Just as I slammed my locked, the thunder outside boomed and lighting came crashing down. I really hate the rain.

"We shouldn't have had to come to school today." I said as we walked down the hallway

"It's the first day of school, Lexi. They couldn't have just canceled it." Danielle reasoned

"Well, they should've."

We finally got to the math wing and walked into room 246. We both took our seats and waited for the morning announcements to come on.

Then came the thunder and lighting again. The lights flickered off and all that could be heard was the pitter patter of rain.

"Everyone, remain seated!" Boomed my new math reacher, who's name I can't put a finger on.

Don came running through the closed door, obviously late.

"Considering it's the first day of school, I will let you off with a warning Mr," She looked down at her attendance sheet, "Oh, it doesn't matter right now! Just take a seat."

Don came and sat next to me and Danielle.

There was one more round of thunder and lighting and then the loud speaker came to life.

"Students, this is not a drill. I repeat, this is not a drill. Teachers take out the pink sheet of paper out of your emergency folder. Place all the students and yourself in a corner after you've locked the door. Finally, make sure you can not be seen if someone looks through the door. Thank you."

A few minutes go by and I worry. Not just about myself, but also about Brad and Kurstin. They are in Honors English right now on the 1st floor.

I look around the room and notice that the windows are covered in rain. Just as I begin to calm myself, 4 bangs go off. They should like gun shots, but I know they are not being fired on this floor. They are being fired on the 3rd floor.

And that's how the horror begins.

Part 4 in upon us! Hope you guys liked this chapter :) because I sure did!

Anyway, next update will be soon I promise!
