Lexi's POV

I was right. That is how we get Danielle back.

As we walked further into the room, the containers got bigger and clearer. I leaned closer it one and as I did, the ball inside turned and a face was on it. In fact, every single one of those balls in each container turned and all eyes were on me.

They were all souls. I'm guessing of people who's lives the ghost girl took.

I scanned the entire room of souls in search of one special one, Danielle's.

"Lexi, she's over here." Kurstin pointed to a little jar tucked away in a tight corner

I knelt down and picked up the mini jar. Danielle, or what seemed like Danielle, looked up at me. I could see her lips moving, but no sound was radiating from the jar.

"It's ok Danielle." I said hoping she heard me, but knowing she most likely didn't.

I didn't quite realize what I was doing until the glass jar hit the floor with a crash. The glass shattered everywhere while Danielle's soul floated about. Emily quickly ran out of the room, returning a minute later, dragging Danielle by the arms.

Her soul immediately floated over to the lifeless body and then sunk into it. Kurstin must've remembered the knife because she reached out and grabbed it out of Danielle's back. I found a large cloth scrap on the floor, thankfully, and covered the large wound up. We could bring her to the hospital when we get out of this darn place.

"Danielle?" I asked hoping the soul found it's was to get her back on her feet.

Her eyes fluttered open and I'm assuming full consciousness took over. She sat up and began rubbing her head where a bump was. I don't know how we missed that.

"Danielle? Are you ok? Do you need water? Food? Do you remember who you are? Do you know our names? Are we familiar at all? Do you remember what's happened lately?" I asked completely, and obviously worried

"Um.... Now that I think about it, can you make me some brownies?" Danielle asked

Picture of brownies to the side!
