Lexi's POV
We all stood there, stunned. It sounded like Kurstin hit something, but when we looked, it was just air. Thats when we realized that we weren't alone. Emily walked over to Kurstin and slapped her in the face.
"Hey! What was that for?" Kurstin yelled
"Oh, I just always wanted to do that." Emily said with a smile on her face
"Do you feel satisfied?" Kurstin asked sarcastically
"Yep" Emily laughed and I joined in
Emily and I laughed for what seemed like forever until Kurstin coughed to get our attention. She was pretty mad, but then got over it when she started to laugh. We laughed and laughed until something made us stop. A loud bang came from outside. It sounded like something big was flung out the window to fall to the ground. We all rushed to the closest window, only to see nothing. Then we heard it again, but it came from upstairs this time.
Me, Emily, and Kurstin bolted up the stairs. It didn't take long for us to realize what we were up against.
"Not another god damn ghost!" Kurstin cursed
"Excuse me?" I said walking over to her
I was ignoring the ghostly presence that was in front of us to confront Kurstin about swearing. I know, I know You all think it's better to direct my attention to the ghost, but it's ok because Emily was already doing that. Her eyes went wide and her mouth hung to the floor.
"I said darn!" Kurstin yelled sarcastically
"Whatever." I said turning my gaze to the ghostly figure
I turned around for a short, 4 maybe 5 second glance and when I turned back around, the ghost was gone.
"I-I-It just d-d-disappeared in t-t-thin air." Emily stuttered, completely blown away
Do you know how back in 1849, when a miner struck gold it was like finding a little piece of heaven? Well, this ghost to Emily, was like gold. Emily was a full-blown, science nerd and boy was she really into the whole paranormal thing.
"Well girls, it looks like we got another ghost to escape" Kurstin pouted
Well everyone, hope you liked this extremely short chapter! I haven't really had time to update lately with school, soccer, and volleyball on my plate. Im sorry, but I can't focus all my time on you guys no matter how much I want to! :P
