The picture above is of a real Aventurine I posted it so you guys can get the basic idea of what the gem itself looks like.

"She was a warrior. There were many of her, like there is of me. I am a servant type gem but Aventurine, she is warrior. She was made to fight, anger courses through her like blood. During the war they pumped the Aventurines with...something. It made them more ferocious and blood-thirsty. But they only pumped enough in them to where they could fight well, think things through, and still be lethal. The Aventurines, they are all connected, they could feel what the other is feeling, what the other is seeing. If you kill one, they all will find you and kill you. I am one of their main targets, when an Aventurine challenged Rose to a fight, I stepped in and took her place without her consent. By the rules of a challenger, I had to fight to the death. I don't know how it happened but I won. I remember when I was on the brink of being shattered, something told me to fight harder, and I won. I defeated the Aventurine with ease." They heard a snarl beside them. Pearl and Greg looked only to find their sweet little Steven, with eyes bright green. Pearl's eyes widened before pushing Greg into the water. He fell through it to the next room.
"Steven!" He exclaimed from under them. Steven clicked his tongue many times.
"Pearl. Pearl. Pearl. So that's how you beat us huh? Some mysterious force just took over you? I don't believe that bull shit. Something happened out there, I've never seen anything like it. How did you win? A mere Pearl can not defeat an Aventurine." Steven's voice wasn't his at all. It was the voice of an all to familiar warrior. Aventurine's voice seeped into her ears like honey. But there was nothing sweet about her voice. It was menacing, with a hint of evil. And Pearl hated it. Steven chuckled darkly and motioned to the open temple door. Pearl glanced inside and saw Amethyst tied up in her own whip. For some strange reason she could not make it disappear. It wouldn't go away no matter how much she struggled. For the first time in her life she was scared of what Steven was capable of. Pearl clenched her fists at her sides as she saw this sight. It hurt her to see her teammate like this. But she couldn't hurt him. And Aventurine used this to her advantage. She picked at her nails before pretending to notice Pearl was still there. Steven smiled an evil grin before swiftly reeling back his arm and launching it full force towards Pearl. She was thrown back and hit the wall with a thud. Pearl sat up as she tried to recover. She sucked her breath in sharply before standing up. She couldn't-wouldn't hurt Steven but she could evade his attacks.

"Hello?" Steven's real voice echoed around him. "Where am I?" His breath made a small cloud of gas in front of him before dissipating into thin air. He began to shiver. Wherever he was, it was cold. Steven wrapped his arms around himself and began to walk. His teeth chattered as he thought about what had happened. He walked in one direction while thinking about Aventurine.
"Is she really that mean?" He said aloud to himself. "I understand she's a warrior but she can't just shatter gems right? They have lives and she can't just crush them for fighting in what they believe in." Steven came to a halt. He didn't know why he stopped till looked up. There was a giant screen. Almost as if it was a really big television, stretched around him about 180 degrees. But there wasn't only one, there were many others ones surrounding it. They were all in his point of view. The screens looked as though he was looking through his own eyes. He gasped as he saw what was happening on the big one. Steven saw himself, no-Aventurine attacking Pearl. He watched in horror as Aventurine jumped from Water tower to water tower chasing after Pearl. Pearl jumped from tower to tower with ease but Steven's out of shape body slowed Aventurine down.
"Curse, this disgusting fat body." The words echoed around him. But she didn't say them, she thought them. It was as if there were speakers around him and her thoughts were sent directly to them. Steven looked from screen to screen, watching his memories. His eyes landed on one. It was filled with static, it was the only screen like this. His gaze softened as he could make out the shapes on the screen. It was obvious to him who was on that screen. Connie. She was there smiling, the resolution was terrible but he could see who it was. And it warmed him. He felt as if a warm hand had slipped through the screen and was holding him. He was no longer cold, he wasn't hot, he was warm. Steven smiled at the screen, and he knew he had to tell her. He had to protect her by telling her, he realized she was the one who led him out of this darkness. Aventurine gasped in pain. Steven's gaze shifted to the big screen. He watched as Aventurine crumpled to the ground. Pearl turned around, confused as to why her predator had stopped giving chase. She stayed a safe distance away but the worried expression on her face showed that she was concerned about Steven. Not Aventurine, Steven.
"What are you doing child?" The voice echoed around him.
"What?" Steven asked aloud.
"How could you possibly be hurting me?" She said with a hiss.
"I-I-I don't know." He stammered.
"Stop it! Before I-" she was cut off by her body suddenly squirming. Steven felt a strange feeling around him and suddenly he was in the temple with Pearl again. She immediately ran to him when she noticed the eyes were gone. She picked him up as he began to sob. Pearl patted his back gently. She held him tightly as she too let out a tear.
