Chapter Twelve

  You don't need this. You don't need any of this. You are stronger than them. You can easily break them. Why don't you let me help you? I can help you be better than them. You are stronger and more powerful. If you just let me take control I will show them what you really are. Just let me-
   Steven exploded out of his bed. He felt a strange feeling in his side, and he was burning hot. He flew down the stairs and ran to the beach. He dived into the ocean. He felt the cool water calm him as his heart raced. His head popped out of the surface. He breathed heavily as the sun bared down on him. The feeling disappeared along with the heat. Steven ran his fingers through his hair.
"What is wrong with me?" He whispered. He felt guilt in the bottom of his stomach. What did he do? Steven walked to the beach and sat down at the edge of the water. The waves gently licked at his bare feet as he sat. He moved his hand under his shirt and held his gem.
"Mom." He said. "I don't know if you can hear me. Or if you know what's happening, but I need someone to talk to. Something, something is wrong. I keep doing these horrible things, and I can't remember them. Why is this happening? Ever since I fought that stupid snake I've been doing these...things...wait a minute." Steven stood up and ran to the house.
"GUYS!" he yelled as he entered. The gems immediately entered from the temple.
"You're awake." Garnet said.
"Yeah I-"
"How are you?" Pearl asked him.
"I-"
"And why are you dripping wet?" Amethyst interrupted him.
"That doesn't matter right now. You all said that I've been doing really bad things lately right?"
"Um...Yeah." Amethyst said, crossing her arms.
"And my eyes turn...bright green correct?"
"Yes." Garnet said.
"Well this all started after I regenerated," Pearl's face filled will sorrow, remembering the pain it caused her. "I got poofed because I fought a giant snake. It was bright green. And had a really pointy tail. It..." He didn't want to remind them of the graphic way he died. "Anyways, it proofed me and ever since then I've been acting really weird. Maybe the snake has something to do with it. I mean we still have yet to find out where the snake has actually come from." Steven raised his arms and dropped them, they slapped at his sides before Pearl spoke,
"Where did you say the snake came from?" Steven walked to the center of the house.
"Right here." He pointed between his feet.
"Did it come from under the house?" She asked.
"Yes, no, I think so, I can't really remember because of the situation I
was in. I mean I wasn't really focused on that." He answered.
"And it was a snake you said?" Pearl asked.
"Yes, it was really big, which is why is basically destroyed the beach house. It was like 12 lions stacked on top of each other." Amethyst laughed loudly.
"Nice amalgam!" She commented.
"That's not even-" Pearl sighed. She went over the information in her head. "I'll be back in a little bit, I have to go check something." She walked to the temple door and disappeared into it.
"Guys..." He said twiddling his fingers.
"Hm?" Garnet asked him.
"I was wondering if...um..." He trailed off and mumbled something under his breath.
"Speak up little man!" Amethyst said.
"Well, I..." He mumbled under his breath again.
"Ok we'll help you." Garnet said.
"What?" Steven and Amethys said in unison.
"We'll help you go see Connie." Garnet said. Steven's jaw dropped.
"How did you?" He started.
"You know why." She stated bluntly.
"Oh yeah!" He laughed. "Future vision! Cool!" She nodded slightly. "Can we go?" He said impatiently.
"Sure man." Amethyst said before he bolted out the door. "Impatient little dude isn't he?" Garnet smiled at her.
"That's what love does to you, it makes you crazy."

Very short chapter guys, but at least I uploaded today right? I am a person of my word, I said I would upload today. And I did. So, I noticed we hit 2k views! Great Milestone!
