Their forbidden love (Steven Universe)

Chapter four

Connie sighed as she stood off the floor. She lied down on Steven's bed resting on her elbows to watch the T.V better. She glanced at the pink gem that was on the corner of the bed.
"When will you come back?" She asked.
Suddenly, the gem glowed brightly and it floated to center of the house. A white light glowing around the gem was changing shape and size. It changed into a tall woman with a big fluffy dress and large curls. Her eyes twinkled as she watched a form appear before her. The form changed suddenly into a little boy with poofy hair and a red T-shirt appeared. He drifted slowly to the ground and Connie even heard his sandals slap against the wooden floor as he landed. She leaped up and ran down the stairs embracing him in a tight hug.
"I'm so glad your back!" She exclaimed.
"I missed you too." Steven said returning the hug. They separated and Steven looked around the unfurnished room. "I guess that fight really destroyed the beach house..." He said.
"We gotta tell the gems!" Connie said. "Sure! Where are they?" He asked.
"They're... Uhhh, I don't know actually." Connie replied.
"C'mon!" Steven pulled her to the temple door and he knocked quickly.
"What is it Conn- STEVEN!" Pearl said as the door opened. She tackled him and squeezed him tightly.
"Pearl..." Steven said being squished.
"I'm so Glad you're back!" She exclaimed.
"Pearl..." Steven said muffled.
"I missed you so much!!" Pearl said louder.
"Pearl your gonna Poof me again!" Steven said with a strained voice. Pearl ceased and grabbed his hand. "Let's go tell the others!" Pearl said happily.
Suddenly, the front door flew open.
"P! I got the nails and the boards where do you want me to-" Amethyst entered the house and stopped speaking as she saw Steven. She held a tool box and had some boards tucked under her arm. She laughed loudly and dropped the items. "You're back!!" She said and ran too him. Amethyst gave him a quick hug and ran back to pick up the building materials. Steven smiled and looked at Pearl.
"Where's Garnet?" He asked her innocently.
"She went to the big donut, she said she was going to get you something to eat since we don't have have a fridge... for now." Pearl replied.
"So should I go get her or can I stay and wait for her with Connie?" Steven asked.
"You can stay if you want to but Amethyst and I are going to make a lot of noise while we rebuild the house." She said.
"Yeah it's gonna be Really really LOUD!!" Amethyst butted in and laughed loudly.
"We can handle it, right Connie?" He said looking to his friend.
"Yeah, or we can go outside on the beach." Connie said.
"Great idea!" He said.
They walked outside hearing Pearl and Amethyst continue work on the house.
They sat together on the beach and Steven started the story of his battle with the Snake.
"I don't know how it was in the house, I just saw it explode out from underneath me and Lion tried to-" He stopped. "Where's Lion?" He asked Connie.
"I don't know I haven't seen him." Connie answered. Steven saw sand fly and a pink blur pass in front of him. He looked up to see a Big pink lion staring at him.
"Lion!" Steven got up and hugged his pet. He laughed as he heard Lion purring at him while he squeezed tighter. He let go and Lion lied down behind Steven. He leaned up against Lion and continued his story,
"Anyways, Lion tried to protect me. He was roaring at the Snake and we ended up on the beach. I summoned my shield and threw it at the snake. It had a very big, pointy, sharp, tail. I was too close to the snake and it got me with its tail but I think I Poofed him after I got Poofed."
"So it just came out of nowhere?" Connie asked.
"Yeah, I think it came from the temple, I have to talk to the gems about it." Steven said.
"Look! Garnet!" Connie said suddenly.
Steven turned around and saw Garnet walking towards him with a white paper bag that had a donut picture on it.
"Garnet!" Steven yelled excitedly. He ran to her and hugged her leg tightly.
"Howdy, I just got back from getting you something to eat." She said.
"What'd you get me?" He asked as his stomach rumbled.
"Jelly donuts." She replied.
"Yay!" Steven laughed. "I missed you Garnet!" He said.
"I missed you too, I'm glad you're back." Garnet said ruffling his hair. "I also got glazed for Connie." She said while looking at Connie.
"Thanks Garnet." Connie said.
Steven backed away and Garnet handed him the bag. He reached in and pulled out a glazed donut which he handed to Connie. She smiled at him before taking a bite. Garnet left them and walked to the House to help with construction. Steven pulled out a jelly donut and ate it quickly.
"I was hungry." He said licking jelly off his fingers.
"Yeah, I can see that." Connie said happily. After they finished the donuts they watched the Sunset together.
"This is Beautiful," Steven said. "I wish I could do this every day." Connie giggled.
"You can silly, the sun sets every day." She said.
"No, I mean watch it with you." Steven said looking at Connie. She blushed and stared at the clouds with the beautiful colors and the moon rising behind them. "Connie while I was in my gem, I was thinking," Steven said breaking the silence. "I was worried I would never see anybody again. Especially you, what if something happens to me and I can't be with you anymore. I would never forgive myself if I never got to tell you how I really feel-" He stopped and glanced at her. She was bright red and he smiled and continued. "What I'm trying to say is that, I really love being your friend..." Connie's expression dropped. "But I want to be more than just friends." Steven finished. He grabbed her hand and they looked at each other.
"I know how you feel, I like you Steven." Connie said leaning in.
"I like you too Connie." Steven said leaning in closer.
At that moment, the world stopped for them as their lips touched and they shared a kiss with a beautiful sunset in front, and a rising moon behind them. When they separated they heard construction stop.
"YO CONNIE YOUR GETTING YOURSELF SOME OF THE GOOD STUFF!"Amethyst yelled from the house. Steven and Connie blushed furiously as they heard Amethyst laughing loudly. Amethyst was pulled in the house and Garnet reprimanded her. "Don't mess with his funky flow." She said.
Steven brought Connie to the house and they turned the T.V on. Connie layed on Steven's bed resting on her elbows again while Steven sat on the floor in front. They held hands as they watched the Intro of 'Under the knife'. They watched for an hour before they both started to get tired. They both fell asleep in their same positions while the TV played a loud commercial about the new Appliance store that was opening in beach city.

Rushed ending, I know :p I just didn't know how to end this chapter after that kiss...
