{Song in video: Kelly Stronger - Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)}
Me and Katie pulled up to school. We got out of the car and Chris came up to us and said, "Hey." He smiled at Katie.
"Hey," she said and brushed her hair back.
"Hey well I'm going to class. I have to do...stuff," I said and walked away. I left on purpose so they could have some alone time.
---
"Raven I've got to tell you something!" Katie said giddily and dragged me to the side.
"What?" I said.
"Me and Chris kissed!"
"No way! You go girl! So are you two dating?"
"Um I don't know. But the kiss happened this morning after you left!"
"Yes! I knew it! I helped! That's why I walked away so I could give you two some alone time." I grinned.
"Thank you for your help actually. It seriously worked." She looked ecstatic.
"You're welcome! Now let's sit at our table. Chris is there." I raised an eyebrow and smirked. We sat down at our usual table.
"Hey," Chris said to Katie and smiled.
"Hey," she said and smiled back. "I am so examed out!"
"Ugh me too. Hey I was wondering if you wanted to eat dinner with me downtown in the city tonight."
"Yeah that sounds great!" Her eyes widened and she looked surprised but in a good way of course.
"Whoa whoa whoa what's going on here?" I spoke up. "Are you asking her out on a date?"
"Yes I am Raven," Chris chuckled and blushed. I gasped and made "awww" noises. Jace put his arm around me.
"Aw that's adorable!" Delancey exclaimed. "I knew it was going to happen!" She turned to Carolyn. "You owe me $20."
Carolyn sighed and gave her the $20 bill. Everyone at the table burst out laughing.
"You two made a bet on Chris and Katie?" I asked and had my mouth open.
"Yeah," Carolyn said. "I thought they were strictly just friends."
Eric was digging into his food but not eating any of it. I actually felt a little bad for him. He seemed a lot quieter and more distant lately ever since him and Katie broke up. He shut down even more when Chris and Katie started hanging around each other a lot.
All of a sudden, I received a text from my dad that said: I would like to meet Jace tonight if that's possible. We'll have dinner at my house. Let me know if he will be able or not able to come.
I felt a little nervous about this. My dad has never met any of my boyfriends before, since he had lived far away. I didn't know how he was going to act around one. My dad is pretty much laid-back and chill, similar to my mom, but when it came to boys, he would be a little protective of that. I only knew this because back when I told him about celebrity crushes, he would make a big deal about it and give me "the talk."
I turned to Jace. "Hey...you know how I told you my dad had moved into town?" I said.
"Yes you have," Jace said and looked curious. "Why?"
"Um...well...he wants to meet you tonight...if you don't have anything else planned already..." I looked down and brushed my hair back.
"Oh okay cool. I don't have any plans tonight so I'll come." He smiled at me. He didn't look one bit nervous.
