REQUESTED: Release the Tension-Ponyboy

Katie ran out of the house, she was so sick and tired of the yelling and fighting. So what they didn't have much money all that mattered was that they had each other.

She stomped down the sidewalk in rage, tears threatening to fall down.

After a few minutes she stopped at the lot.

Ponyboy was on the ground reading a book. Katie blushed a bit, he looked so cute in his jacket and blue jeans.

Ponyboy suddenly looked into Katie's hazel eyes.

"Hey... What are you doing here? Come sit."
Katie walked over to him, now knowing what to say.

He was reading "Gone With The Wind".

"Is that a good book i-i always s-see you with it." Katie said quickly.

"Yeah," he set the book in his lap," you alright you seemed pretty mad before you came."

You sighed in frustration.
"Family?" He asked sweetly.
Katie nodded her head.

Ponyboy suddenly put his arm around her should while stroking her shortish blonde hair.

"Wanna talk about it?" Ponyboy whispered in your ear. You shook your head no, as you breathed into his chest.

The two of you got comfy as he began reading outloud.

Katie could just feel his heart beating faster and faster, just like hers. She smiled feeling better at the fact that she wasn't the only one who was nervous and excited.

As he kept reading Katie snuggled closer to him, slowly shutting her eyes.

It was so peaceful, she forgot all about what happened at her house.

"The end....are you sleeping?" He asked sweetly.
"No its just you're really comfortable." Katie responded.

Ponyboy chuckled at her. The two were quiet for a few minutes.
"Would you....like to go out somehwere?" Asked Ponyboy.

Katie was shocked, for a second she couldn't think.
"U-uhm yeah sure of course i mean yes." She said really fast. Ponyboy grinned then stood up. He held out his hand and helped you up.

"Lets get you home Katie. I'll pick you up here 6pm."
Katie smiled until he dropped you off at home.
She couldn't wait to talk to Ponyboy again...
