Yoandri's POV

Sometimes I don't understand my own actions, but this time I was more than sure. I knew this was what I had to do. It's not a secret that Mariana always leaves me speechless, but this time it was on another level.

"Mariana." I said as I detached my lips from hers, "I will not leave you." I promised her.

"Yoandri, I don't feel the same way-" She started off saying, but I cut her off.

"I'm not going to force you to love me. I know that you're not ready. I know that it's still too soon. But I swear that I'll be here for you and the baby. I will not leave you alone when you need me the most." I truthfully told her.

"You didn't let me finish." She lightly scolded me. "I don't feel the same way about you, but I'll get there. I swear Yoyo, just be patient with me. I'll get there for you. For us." She said as she hugged me.

"Mari, it's okay. I know that you still love him. And I'm fine with that. I don't want you to forget about him, he'll always be a part of you and I understand that."

"Do you want to see a picture of him?" She asked as she got up from the bed and walked towards her closet.

"Sure." I replied. She came back and shoved a picture frame in my face.

"This was taken earlier this year when we went to his mom's house." She said as she smiled at the memory.

I looked at the picture and saw two very happy people. They had big smiles on their faces and I couldn't help but smile.

"Mari guess what?" I asked.

"What Yoandri?"

"He looks like a potato." I joked earning a small punch from her, but then she started laughing too.

"That's not funny Yoyo." She said as she continued to laugh, totally contradicting herself.

Somehow we lost track of time and I didn't know if it was still 2013 or if it was now 2014. It didn't matter right now. Mari was telling me her random fears. When she was small, she was afraid of her dolls coming back to life so she would tie their hands so that they wouldn't kill her in her sleep.

I wasn't any better. I told her about my fear of moths and how I was afraid that one day I would swallow one in my sleep. We told each other our lame little fears until at some point, Mari forgot to be afraid and fell asleep.

I looked at her as she slept. And then I did something I don't normally do; I started singing.

"Baby I don't really care if you got him in your heart.
All I really care is that you wake up in my arms."

I softly sang to her as I hugged her closer. I will not leave her, not any time soon.
