Chapter 24

I couldn't stop looking at my ring, it was gorgeous. It wasn't the type with a huge diamond ring. It was small, simple and elegant. It reminded me of Yoandri in a way.

"Yoyo?"

"Yes love?" He asked as he held me closer.

"Where does Johann keep finding tequila?" Johann had found a new bottle and my curiosity was killing me.

Yoandri chuckled and shook his head, "It's called magic." I rolled my eyes.

"Yoyo?"

"Yes bae?"

"Why did Richard steal Joey's potato head? And why are they fighting over it?" Richard and Joendri were currently in a very heated argument over a potato head toy. If Richard didn't give it up soon, he was in danger of losing a finger.

"Because they're kids." Yoandri simply replied.

"Oh." Was all I replied. Joshua was still sketching on his book, but Johann was on his side talking nonstop.

"Yoyo." I asked once again.

"Yes Mari?" I knew I was annoying him and that was my point.

"Have I ever told you how happy you make me?"

"Only a million times." Yoandri said as he grinned from ear to ear. "Gosh you're so annoying!" He exclaimed as he kissed me again.

"Eww guys, keep it PG! There's kids in here." Joshua said as he laughed out loud.

"Guys..." Johann started off. "I have something important to say." We all looked at him in curiosity. What could he possibly say? He was drunk, but he wasn't drunk enough to lose his conscious.

"Are you going to say it or do we have to wait?" Joshua asked after a few minutes.

"Oh no. I just wanted attention." Johann answered as he started giggling uncontrollably. We rolled our eyes and went back to what we were doing.

"Mari?"

"Hmm"

"Remember what we were actually supposed to tell them?"

"Oh yess!" I said as I got up excitedly. "Guys okay, so we really did have another announcement to make." I informed them.

"We have finally chosen who is going to be the official godfather of Joey." Yoandri continued. I could feel some tension in the room. It felt like one of those dumb shows on TV where they have to choose a winner. I laughed at my own thoughts.

"And the winner is..." I started off. "I must repeat, we chose this contestant because he showed a lot of love towards this little angel and it had nothing to do with material. Although, some of the things you guys got him were pretty cute." I added, trying to add even more pressure on them.

"Women just tell us!" Richard and Johann practically begged. The war had always been between those two and I was kind of sad to see it come to an end.

"Okay we chose..." Yoandri stopped mid sentence causing all the boys to groan.

"Joshuaaa!!" I yelled as I handed Joey to him.

"What!??" Richard and Johann said in unison.

"I'm sorry guys, but he's literally been there since the beginning." I explained to them.

"Joshua how does it feel to have won this contest?" Yoandri fake interviewed him as he held a cucumber as a microphone.

"I really wasn't expecting this. All the other participants were amazing and I have nothing else to say. Wow it is truly an honor." Joshua said as he bounced Joendri up and down in his arms.

"Richard, Johann how do you guys feel about losing?" I asked both guys.

"Well I was kinda expecting it you know? I had that feeling in my chest since a few days ago." Johann jokingly said. "But I want to congratulate the winner. You deserved this bro." Johann said as he looked at Joshua.

"I'm not even worried. I know I'm his favorite uncle, so it's cool." Richard cooly said.

"Lies! I'm his favorite uncle!" Johann objected.

"No I am! He can't even look at you without crying you moron." Richard teasingly replied.

"At least he shares his toys with me! If I do recall, he tried to bite your hand off not so long ago!" Johann shot back.

Joshua, Yoandri and I looked at each other with the same tired expression. I guess this war was never really coming to an end after all.
