Mariana's POV

The church ceremony was over, hand in hand, Yoandri and I walked out of the church. People were laughing as they threw rice at us. I started laughing and a bunch of rice got in my mouth, I looked and saw that it was Johann specifically aiming at my face. Classic.

Joshua was holding Joey. Joshua had bought Joey's little suit and I must admit that Joshua has amazing style, even when it came to dressing a toddler. Joendri looked adorable with his small black suit, his little pocket had a small white rose pinned to it. I felt somewhat betrayed when I saw that he was giggling as he also threw rice.

Everyone clapped as we walked down the steps, we kissed once again and people clapped even louder than before. We made our way to the car that would be taking us to our destination. Everyone else seemed to do the same.

We decided to have the party at our house. Our backyard was big enough to set up tables and have kids play around it too. There were enough trees to provide a bit of shade for people, therefore they wouldn't be burning up. We didn't hire a chef, my mom was more than delighted to cook traditional Mexican food. Yoandri's mom was also overjoyed to bring her own Cuban food to the table.

Yoandri's family had decorated our backyard. It was beautifully decorated. Every table had red roses with a single white rose in the middle of the vase. The table clothing was a bright burgundy and the chairs also matched. The trees had golden christmas lights around them, they weren't that bright right now due to the sunlight. It would be a magical scene once the sun goes down.

Yoyo's mom and my own mom rushed me into the house. They took me to the room and then took a white bag out of the closet. The bag was fairly large which made me feel curious. This wasn't planned.

"Mari" my over emotional mom started, "It's your big day today and we want you to remember it." my mom slightly smiled as she reached over to Yoyo's mom.

"Mom, I'm sure I'll remember it forever." I lightly laughed, trying to avoid her teary eyes. If she cries then I'll end up cry too.

"So, we decided to give you a small gift ourselves." Yoyo's mom continued.

"Oh no you don't have to give me anything." I started "You have already given me the thing I love the most, your son."

"No, no no, you found him yourself. Your mother and I took a long time to make this so I hope you love it."

I grabbed the white bag and opened it. I couldn't hold back the tears any longer. "This is beautiful." Inside the white bag was a dress. It was a Mexican traditional dress. It was black yet colorful. It had flowers and a women was drawn at the bottom. It reminded me of something Frida Kahlo might wear, but more modern.

"I can't believe it! You guys, this is amazing. Thank you so much." I said as tears of excitement streamed down my face. I hugged both of them as I thanked them. They helped me get out of my huge wedding dress and into the dress that they had gifted me.

"Oh Mari, you're gorgeous." They both crooned at the same time. We all shared a big hug and after that, we went outside hand in hand.
