Yoandri's POV

Mari had just gone inside the house with my mother along with my now mother in law. They rushed her all in a hurry, almost like they didn't want people to notice that she was gone. Women, I thought as I slowly rolled my eyes.

All of our guests were getting themselves situated and comfortable. The decor in our backyard was amazingly done. I knew Mari loved it by the way her eyes lit up when we first arrived. If Mariana was happy, then so was I.

"Yolandra, where's your wife?" Johann said as he walked up to me with Joendri in his arms.

"My mother and her mother decided to hold her hostage. Hopefully they're not helping her escape or something." I lightly joked, but abruptly stopped laughing when I noticed Johann's dull expression. "Noo. They can't be." I said as I slightly panicked.

"Chill out Yoyo, I'm joking... I helped her out." Johann said as he started laughing. Joey was just watching us both in curiosity.

"Joey, come with me. We don't need to be around negative energy." I slightly joked as I took Joey away from Johann.

"Oh come on Yoandri, I was just-"

"Daddy!" Joey screamed out of nowhere. He started giggling and pointing towards the trees. I thought he had just seen a squirrel, so I payed no mind. Joey couldn't control his giggling, which made other guests laugh along. I put the kid down and let him run towards whatever had his attention.

"So Yoandri, you finally have the full right to adopt my kid and the first thing you do is let him wander off into the woods alone?" A soft voice behind me says.

"In my defense, I thought you had ran away and left me alone to take care of him all by myself. Since I thought you were gone, sadly the kid had to go too. It was either keep you both or lose you both. There was no in between. " I lightly joked.

"Haha, funny Yoandri." Mariana said. She grabbed my hand and that's when I turned around to see her. She was no longer in her stunning white dress, she was now in a black dress. A dress that you see in fairy tales.

"Wow. You're-" I was suddenly cut off.

"Yoandri, Mari, you guys have a guest." Richard said, out of breath. Like he had been running for quite a while.

Mariana and I stared at him in confusion. "Richard who?" But instead, he grabbed Mari's hand and pulled her toward the same tree that Joey was looking at not so long ago.

"Richard, we can't just leave the guests. Yoyo, stay with them." Mari said as she worriedly looked back.

"NO!" Richard shouted. "This is for both of you, besides most of the guests have just arrived, you guys have time to spare."

"Who is it?" I curiously asked? Nobody came to my mind, we had invited everyone we knew, so who else could it be? Or why else would they hide in the woods to not be seen.

We walked deeper into the forest, the closer we got the louder the laughs would get. It was an adult and the other of a child. Maybe it's Joshua and Joey with some silly surprise.

"Daddy, please stay." I heard Joey say. Why would he say that? I was always going to be there for him.

"For how long?" The other unknown voice asked.

"Forever Daddy." Joey answered. I didn't understand what was going on, but we got closer and closer to them. The first thing I saw was Joey hugging somebody's leg. I must admit it was an adorable sight...

Then I heard Mariana gasp and that made me look up. I somehow wasn't surprised to see none other than Joel Pimentel standing there in all his glory.
