JOHNS POV

I was awoken by the feeling of something poking my cheek and slowly started to smile, knowing exactly who it was. Usually I would hate being woken up at such an early time, but only katy could instantly brighten my day. I heard her let out a cute little giggle as she shifted her weight onto my waist where she sat, as she continued to poke my cheek.

"What are you doing?" I chuckled, not recognizing my voice at first due to the morning rasp in it. I opened my eyes to be met by katy sitting on top of me still in her pajamas. She shrugged her shoulders cutely before crinkling that damn nose of hers.

"You're a pain in my ass, you know?" I laughed, grabbing her hips to pull her down onto the bed where she cuddled up into my chest as we faced each other. I wrapped my arms around her tiny body as her hands rested against my chest.

"But you like like me." She said, wiggling her eyebrows as she bit her tongue that was slightly sticking out of her mouth.

"I do like like you, should I pass you a note that says check yes or no?" I teased, poking her sides making her squirm in my arms.

"I think you proposing was enough clarification" she giggled, patting my chest.

"Oh did I propose?" I asked, acting as if I had forgotten the whole occasion though that would never be true. If I were to keep one memory it would be that one.. because it was one of the most perfect moments of my life. I ran my hands up and down her back, as she rolled her eyes at me before hovering over me.

"Don't make me change my mind." She warned, leaning down to kiss me lovingly. Her soft raven hair tickling my neck as we kissed. "I love you." She whispered as we parted; her face still centimeters from mine.

"I love you too baby... we should head downstairs, my family is dying to see us I just know." I laughed, kissing her forehead before getting out of bed to put my shirt on that was hanging on the chair beside me.

We arrived at my parents so late last night that we went ahead to bed without saying a word to anyone else since they were asleep. They knew we were coming though, and had set everything up for us. I knew katy was a little nervous but once she realized that everything would be fine had calmed down. She's met them all before anyway so it was just the whole getting along with my mother that was bothering her.

"Ready babe?" She asked, standing at the door. I nodded my head yes and made my way over to her, lacing my fingers with hers as we made our way downstairs.

"I wonder what's taking Katy and John so long to come downstairs.." I heard my mother ask as we made our way towards the living room. I smiled down at katy as she bit her lip giving her hand a gentle squeeze.

"Yeah.. I wonder.." We heard Ben snicker as my mother scolded him for implying such things. He never did learn to act his age.

"Actually Ben, we did get in late last night and were tired." I said, rounding the corner to be greeted by my parents and siblings who all seemed happy to see us.

"John! We missed you so much, how are you?" My mother shouted, making her way over to me. I let go of katy momentarily to hug her before she moved onto katy.

KATYS POV

I was surprised by how quickly Margaret approached me, as she embraced me in a tight hug. I admit it felt nice, after thinking she completely hated me for so long. You never want your significant others parents to hate you no matter what.. it just felt wrong.
