JOHNS POV
The feeling of cold air on my neck slowly woke me from my sleep. I opened my eyes, met by the bright sun before looking down and seeing katy all snuggled into my chest. I couldn't help but admire how cute she looked. Day or night; she was flawless to me. Her hair sprawled out around my shoulder and pillow while her face was buried into my neck. I noticed my arm had fallen completely numb from where she had slept on it last night since I had it wrapped around her waist, making me even more so uncomfortable but I didn't dare move. I would rather stay here with her in my arms than wake her up; but apparently it was too late.
"Hey.." She said softly, once her eyes had adjusted to the room. I couldn't help but smile as I watched her stretch her arms over her head and yawn.
"Good morning." I chuckled, tugging on her shirt in order to pull her closer. She obeyed and pressed herself up against me as she tangled her legs with mine.
"Guess what?" She teased, running her fingers over my brow as she traced the outline of my face. I'm sure I was smiling like an idiot at her but I honestly couldn't help myself.
"What, baby.." I asked, running my hands up and down her back, occasionally inching my way down to that fine little ass of hers. I couldn't get enough, I would never get enough.
"I love you" She giggled, tangling her hands in my hair as we stared at each other, lost in each other's eyes.
"I love you, too." I chuckled, "Don't break my heart, katy." I whispered so so quietly, tucking a lose strand of hair behind her ear that kept covering her eyes.
"You know I never would." She whispered, resting the palm of her hands against my chest as we continued facing each other, never feeling more in love than now.
"That's good for you because it's not every day you run into someone as handsome and funny as me. I should be fine though." I joked, watching her mouth fall open as she playfully punched my arm.
"Jerk." She pouted, rolling over to face the other side of the bed so that her back was to me. I was quick to hover over her small body and pull her into my chest as my arms wrapped around her completely.
I laughed, kissing her neck while getting a peek of a small smile forming on her face. "You make me so happy." I mumbled, kissing her once again. I've never been more happy than I am right now. She lights up my day, she makes me laugh, she's always there when I need her.
I can honestly say that she makes me feel the happiest I've ever been each time I'm around her and I know I'll never be able to replace that. It's like I regret wasting all my time with my other relationships. They don't even come close to the way I feel right now.
She rolled onto her back so that I was looking down at her, admiring everything about her. She hated when I stared at her, but honestly I couldn't help it. She looked up at me with those big blue eyes, instantly inviting me to get lost in them. I ran my hands up her smooth thighs, stopping at her waist where I held a firm grip.
"You know I still get butterflies when I'm around you," I admitted, bending down to kiss her. "You still make me nervous like the first time I saw you."
She pouted her lips, running her hands up my back as her eyes searched mine. "John..." She said it in a way that told me she didn't believe me.
"It's true. I'm so unbelievably and unconditionally in love with you. It even blows my mind how in love with you I actually am. It feels like.. it should be impossible to feel the way I do." I admitted, rubbing my thumb over her cheek as I searched for the right words to say. I laughed to myself as I realized there wasn't even a word to describe the way I felt.
A lonely tear made its way down her cheek and I didn't waste a second before wiping it away. "You're too good to me." She whispered, pulling me closer to her. I rested my forehead against hers, taking a second to just be close to her before kissing her once again. It's like every time I kissed her it was the first time.
"Nothing can happen to you, do you understand?" I whispered against her lips, "I need you." I finished, proving my point by attacking her lips once again with mine.
I let my hands roam her body, slowly inching her shirt over her stomach making her laugh into the kiss which we broke. "Careful, you don't want another one keeping you up all night do you?" She asked, raising an eyebrow at me which I fully understood.
"Soon she'll be older and she'll understand what's going on when mommy screams so we might as well make this time worth it." I joked, but then again meant it in all seriousness. Katy didn't seem to find it as funny as she shoved me in the chest.
"You're a jerk, I'm not even that loud." She defended, rolling her eyes at me while I continued to laugh at her.
"Okay, then prove it." I said, pulling her farther down on the mattress so that I was right above her. I leaned down to kiss her, passionately, as I allowed my tongue to caress hers in the most delicate way. Mentally I high fived myself when she moaned, knowing it was working and I was already one step closer to proving my point. Then, just like clockwork we heard a cry.
"Looks like someone doesn't want you to have your fun." Katy said, sticking her tongue out at me as I dropped my head and sighed. "I'll get her." She slowly made her way out of my arms before getting out of bed and walking towards the door. I just lied here, watching her tip toe her way out of the room. I couldn't be happier right now. I had the most perfect family.. more perfect than I could have dreamed of.
"Look who it is! It's daddy." Katy said once she made her way back into the room with Kinsley. It was always the most precious thing seeing those two together.. the two most important girls in my life. She was already starting to look like Katy which I knew meant I was going to be in trouble. If she continued to grow up and look more and more like her mother I was going to be fighting off guys non stop. She was going to break many hearts, but she was also going to get her heart broken and I'll never be ready for that.
"Hey, baby girl.." I whispered, kissing the top of her head as katy sat in the bed next to me. Katy was already so good with her. I told her she had nothing to worry about and I was right. They instantly bonded, and it touched my heart each time I saw them.
I wrapped my arm around her, pulling them both closer to me. I was so protective of them it was insane. They meant the world to me and I would do anything to keep them safe.
"She's so precious." Katy whispered, once Kinsley had fallen back asleep. "I can't believe she's ours."
"I know, thankfully she looks just like you.. and those big blue eyes.." I sighed, "There's another one I'll never be able to say no to."
"Did you ever see yourself here? Like honestly.." She asked, honestly catching me off guard. But I knew I had the answer she was hoping for.
"I knew I wanted a family. I've always wanted that.. I always pictured me sitting here with my wife and child exactly like this. And before you, she didn't have a face. She was just a blurry vision waiting for someone to fill her shoes. And then I met you.. and ever since then, every time I pictured that moment it was you who was beside me. Even when I was with Olivia, it was you. She would always bring up children and my mind instantly went to that image of you. It broke my heart because I knew I would never truly be happy unless it was you there beside me. Does that answer your question?"
"I would have settled with a yes or no." She laughed, wiping her eyes with her free hand. "I love you."
"I love you, too."
