JOHNS POV
"I'm really nervous." Katy said tucking her hair behind her ears as she sat in the passengers seat of my car. I looked over to see her nervously biting her lip as she stared out the window, quickly admiring her beauty before turning my attention back to the road. Tonight we were driving to her parents house to tell them the news. It's been around a week since we found out officially that she was pregnant and even though I was worried at first I'm more excited than ever. My family was going to be in town as well so we all decided to get together and tell them the news all at once as well as a few of her close friends.
"Katy, you know they are going to be nothing but excited for us." I said reaching over to place my hand on her thigh. I felt her hand slip under mine as she delicately intertwined her fingers with mine.
"I just... I don't know." She trailed off, "I know you're parents will be excited but mine? You know how they can be.."
"They love you and they know that I love you so they have nothing to worry about." I reassured her even though I wasn't entirely convinced either. They probably hate me after what I've done.
Moments later I pulled into the driveway and turned the car off as we sat in the dark vehicle for a few silent moments, waiting for her to be ready to go inside. She finally opened her door and got out as I did the same, but I looked over to see her standing there frozen by the car.
"Cmon katy..." I tried to say softly to get her to calm down but she just stood there, staring at the house like she was scared of it. I slowly approached her fragile body and lifted her chin to look at me.
"Hey... no matter what I'll love you. No matter what we're still having a baby, and no matter what they will always love and support you." I whispered, wrapping my arms around her waist as I kissed her forehead. I heard her let out a sigh and nod her head in agreement against my chest. "we don't have to do this now.. we can do it later" I whispered letting her know that I wasn't pressuring her into this.
"No.. You're right... I love you." She mumbled cutely, and I couldn't help but lean down and kiss her as she backed into the car. I had one hand against the car and the other on her waist as I kissed her lovingly, suddenly forgetting where we even were as we were pressed together.
"Hey, love birds we're waiting on you!" I heard a female voice call interrupting the momentum katy and I had going. I pulled away to look towards the door to see Shannon standing there with her arms crossed. I laughed as I looked back at katy who was also giggling and backed away from the car before taking her hand in mine.
"I've lost my appetite after watching you two devour each other's face." Shannon quipped as we approached her and katy gave her a light punch in the stomach as we walked by.
"Shut up, Shan." She whined pulling me through the hallways as we approached the patio outside where every one else seemed to be. The house was unusually quiet which means they must be.
"True I've seen you two do much worse." She added making me chuckle as katy gasped shooting her a look. Before Katy could retaliate though Shannon had opened the door to lead us outside where everyone turned to look at us.. most shouting Katy's name in excitement, probably because they haven't seen her in a while.
She immediately let go of my hand and ran into a group of her friends/family leaving me behind to watch her as she jumped into the arms of her brother.
"John! Good to you see you!" Carl shouted as he made his way towards me giving me a pat on the back.
"Hey, how are you?" I asked happy to see my brother after such a long time. I'm glad we invited everyone over at once. Not only did everyone deserve to know at the same time.. but we got to see everyone in the same room together.
