JOHNS POV

"Katy, cmon get in the water with us." I begged plopping down beside her in the warm sand where she was lying down on her towel. We had all came down to the beach this morning, so I haven't been able to spend any time alone with katy which was killing me. I'm just glad we settled everything last night.

"for the one hundredth time babe, I'm tanning." she grinned, turning her head to face me as she placed her sunglasses on top of her head. She was so effortlessly flawless and it was killing me inside that I couldn't do anything about it because I felt Olivia's eyes burning into the side of my face.

"Katy Perry doesn't get tan. Katy Perry is pale 365 days a year, 24/7." I teased knowing she always complained about how white she was. She wasn't super pale as usual because of the sun though. She actually had a nice glow about her, but I wasn't about to tell her that. Her mouth fell wide open and she sat up to shove me, before crossing her arms in front of her chest.

"Well for your information I think I'm a little bit darker look." She said slightly pulling down her bikini bottoms to show me her tan line. But to no surprise it was maybe 1/12th of a shade difference.

"If I tell you I see it will you sneak up to our room with me." I asked raising a playful eyebrow, earning a disappointed look on her face.

"You know I'm going to say yes even though I don't want to." she whined standing up while wiping the sand off of her. I bent down to grab her towel for her and we started making our way back up the beach when she suddenly bumped into someone. I immediately caught her before she could fall down and looked up to see a familiar face.

"Chris?" Katy and I both said at the same time. Chris was a long time friend of mine, and katy had met him a few times when we were together. We all got along really well even though it was obvious he liked katy a little too much for my liking, so I never brought her around him much.

"John? Katy? How are you? I thought you two were split up? What happened to Olivia?" He suddenly hugged katy and I before asking all these questions. Katy and I looked at each other not really knowing how to answer all of these.

"um we're together but.. not together at the same time." I nervously laughed hoping he wouldn't run into Olivia with all this information. That would just be one more person dragged into this web of lies.

"ohhhkay?" He said sounding confused. We all stood around each other not really knowing what to say after that when Olivia started making her way towards us.

"Listen Chris, this is going to sound crazy but don't let Liv know anything about us being together okay? Please just... be cool." I pleaded silently finally turning to her when she reached us.

"Hi babe." I smiled wrapping my arm around her waist and Katy made her way over to Chris who was looking at us like the freaks he probably thought we were now.

"Who is this?" She asked pointing towards Chris who still had a look of horror and confusion mixed together all at once.

"You must be Olivia.. I've heard so much about you, I'm Chris." He stated reaching his hand out to shake Olivia's. "I'm a friend of Katy and-"

"omg." Liv suddenly interrupted with a smug look on her face. She looked back and forth between Katy and Chris smiling like she had just figured out the secret to the world.

"You're the guy katys been sneaking out to see!" She exclaimed making them both go wide eyed. This was a mess this was a huge mess. Katy turned to me, and I knew exactly what she was thinking. She was going to tell her the truth, she had had enough of this.

"Olivia." She sighed taking a step towards her. "John has something he needs to tell you." She said before giving me the death stare. I wasn't ready for this. I couldn't do this now and she had put me on the spot.
