Chapter 3: Oh yeah, I'm absolutely thrilled to be back to school!
He knew my name. He knew my name. He knew my name! Oh my God, why can't I remember him? I racked my brain hard and I realized he used to be in some of my classes.
Think Steph, think!
OH!
He is the new kid from last year.
The hot new kid from last year; as Al had introduced him.
We didn't say anything after that, even when we got off at the school fifteen minutes later. He went his way and I went mine. I looked at the school gates and sighed. One more year.
Be positive Steph. Just one more year.
There weren't many kids as I got my timetable and walked to the lockers. I was done putting the stuff I wanted inside when I was engulfed in darkness.
"Al." I said already knowing who was behind those pair of hands and she giggled. I turned around with a mocking angry face and her smile turned apologetic. Just then a hard shove pushed me to the lockers and I hit my shoulder. Ugh. I have been injured thrice in just two days. If this goes on I'll be in the hospital by the end of the month.
"Hey, are you blind?!" Al yelled at them for me and two girls in cheerleader outfit turned (the season has started already?) their hair flipping around in unison as they whipped and came to a dramatic stop, taking a similar stance with hands on their hips.
Wow. Filmy much?
"Oh my god, what are you wearing!?" The blonde one screeched nasally and my face scrunched up.
"So you are blind." I said shifting my weight on one leg, crossing my arms and leaning against the lockers.
"What?" The other blonde said in a high pitched voice. Don't any of them have normal audible voices?
"And deaf." Al snickered.
"Huh?"
"And dumb." A third voice added and a similar grin lightened up our faces as we saw Em heading towards us. She sashayed all the way putting those two to shame.
"Come on Em, we haven't got time to waste." Al and I said in unison.
"Don't do that. It's creepy." She shuddered.
"Fine." We said only to get a glare in return and we chuckled completely ignoring the two blondes still gaping at us.
"Okay tell me. What classes do we share?"
"I think..." I said slowly, bringing their two timetables in front of me. "I've got English with both of you." Two more timetables slipped in front of me and I looked up to find Cal and Greg joining our little group, smiling. "Calculus and gym with me." Greg said looking down. He stood a little weird, keeping most of his weight towards his left.
