Critter
Sometimes
When you hope
It never comes,
It never thinks
It never be's
Its like it never existed.
Once you're in this
Perfect frame of mind
It crawls in
Whispering
Pulling
Biting
Under your skin
Begging you to try again,
Get even less sane.
Your heart tightens
As it digs it's way inside,
You fight it
You hate it
You like the lies.
Pain fills your every core,
But deep down you know
You want-
No, need it more.
You don't want to give in,
"If I do, is it sin?"
The man holds your
Hand, he makes it disappear
'Tell him'
Will he understand?
You smile,
But once he's out
It starts again.
It crawls in, whispering, pulling; biting
Under
Your
Skin.
