Valka and Stoick arrived at the nest to find it desolate. Not one single dragon was in sight. Skullcrusher sniffed around but couldn't track a scent. Cloudjumper flew around the column and into a few caves but didn't find anything either. Valka quickly but quietly walked down a path that led to the waters edge. The Bewilderbeast wasn't in sight.
"Hello Valka. Haven't seen you in a while. What has brought you here?" Trader Johan's voice startled Valka, she swung her staff around and clobbered Johan.
"Oh my....I'm so sorry Johan! Here let me help you up." Valka dropped her staff in surprise and helped Johan to his feet. "I presume your after Hiccup? He's outside with everyone else."

Stoick and Valka scanned the outside but couldn't find a single trace of Hiccup. Until they spotted the old blood from Legend.
"What in the name of......happened here?" Stoick gasped.
"Mum! Dad! Why are you here?" Hiccup yelled out to his parents. Skullcrusher and Cloudjumper swung around and nearly jaw dropped at the swarm of dragons behind them. Sure they had lived with these dragons their whole lives but they had never seen them in such perfect formation!
"We have been so worried about you! Where have you been?" Valka exasperated nearly.
"We had to move Legend off the ice. Dad, I need to talk to you." Hiccup suddenly said whistling Skullcrusher. Stoick frowned and the held on as they disappeared into the ice again. Valka looked after them and then back to the dragons. Astrid was now in the lead. She stood up on Stormfly and raised her arms. The dragons eyes raised with her arms. She dropped them and they disappeared in a flash. Now the only people and dragons were Astrid and Valka, their two dragons and Azzurri.
"We have a war on our hands. And unless we have Berk's help plus probably another island. We won't win this battle." Astrid told Valka. She then disappeared just as quick as the other dragons.

Azzurri followed Astrid and Stormfly down to the centre of the nest. Toothless's was now stationed on any icy pillar and dragons would nod or bow as they landed or flew past him. Azzurri watched him carefully. If they were the last two Night Fury's next to her father wouldn't it be wise to actually get together? Why is she thinking about this now? Azzurri shook her head and thought about her father. He used to be so nice to her and so loving and now.......now he was after her head! All because of that selfish merciless Alpha.
"He will pay!" She growled to herself. Toothless looked up at her as she growled. She quickly turned and flew away.

A worrying thought suddenly hit Toothless as he watched Azzurri fly away through the icy caves that dripped freezing water. It was the nest, it was nearly made entirely from ice besides the few rocky areas. With Legend gone how can he make sure the nest doesn't collapse in on them. Once a week, Legend used to blow a fresh powder of ice up onto the roof and sides of the nest. Eventually the old ice would move itself outside the nest where the sun would melt it. The ice would turn to water and trickle down the sides of the nest until it reached the ground. It was freezing cold on ground level so it would freeze again which caused a build up of ice around the lower levels of the nest. But that pattern will no longer exist with Legend gone. The nest will eventually cave in unless another Alpha was to live there. Toothless panicked. It was due to have a new coat of ice on the inside, what will he do?!
"Hiccup!" Toothless flew up and scanned the area around him. Hiccup was in his home cave talking to Stoick. He flew in and landed next to Hiccup.
"What's the matter Toothless?"
"What's the matter? I'll tell you what the matter is. With Legend gone and no other Alpha, how can we keep the nest from caving in?!" Toothless nearly barked at Hiccup. Hiccup's eyes widened. He hadn't thought of that yet.
"What did Toothless say Hiccup?" Stoick asked watching his sons eyes.
"When the Bewilderbeast was here, once a week he would give the inside of the nest a fresh coating of ice to keep it stable. If he didn't do that the nest would have caved in. Now with him gone, the nest will surely cave in." Hiccup explained before turning back to Toothless.
"We need to find a new place to keep the dragons when this falls in. Send scouts out immediately!"

Toothless was glad his tail was on auto, otherwise he would look pretty stupid telling dragons what to do when he couldn't fly.
"Hobblegrunt's! You scan the closer islands of the nest. Deadly Nadders except Stormfly, you head to the edge of the Archipelago. Monstrous Nightmares, Gronckles, Raincutters! You go beyond the Archipelago and look there. Azzurri will be your leader! Go!" Toothless smiled at Azzurri. She flew up opposite him.
"Why me?" She asked annoyed.
"Because you are a born leader and will protect that group of dragons with your life. Besides, you'll only become bored here." Toothless replied. She nodded and roared before flying up and out of the nest. A trail of eager dragons followed suit.
