A/N: Thank you for waiting so long! Btw, this is a temporary cover so I'll probably wind up changing it. I was just messing around and thought a collage might be cool but honestly it looks bad...also things have been pretty hectic. This is my last semester of high school so posting probably won't be very often plus I just re-write things too much. Enjoy the first three chapters!!!

It had been a month since Milly's passing. We spent a lot of time with Cindy and her family and also had dinner with Bard and his family a few times. Ardy was still in mourning but Lezarin tried her hardest to move on. I caught her a few times crying in her room at night, even I sat down and let the tears flow. Today, she wasn't in a very jovial spirit and for some reason neither was I. We had just had dinner so both of us were washing the dishes, I washed and she dried then we always alternated the next night.

A dish crashed to the ground and I turned to look at Lezarin. She was hunched over the sink with tears streaming down her face. "Words couldn't describe how much I miss Mother." She wiped her face starting to bend down in order to pick up the mess. I stopped her grabbing her and pulling her into my chest. Suddenly Ardy comes barreling through the front door. Both of us turn our heads toward him.

"Bard is hoarding dwarves in his house." He quickly says.

"Non sense! There hasn't been any dwarves in these parts for years Ardy." I wipe Lezarin's face and kiss her forehead. "As for you, your mother wouldn't want you to cry."

"Edlyn, I know that it's dwarves I-." My face fell looking at my God-daughter.

"No...It can't be..." I said walking over to the fire tending to it.

"Edlyn listen to me!" Ardy yells. I was starting to go into shock. I felt a lump in my throat as my stomach churned. I quickly sat in the chair trying to breath. Lezarin rushed over to me taking my hands in hers. I hardly heard what they were saying...it felt like the world was fading around me.

"Aunt Ed, it's alright." I heard Lezarin's voice fade in and out as I shut my eyes. I felt much better when I felt a cold rag on the back of my neck. I opened my eyes smiling at Lezarin who was still holding my hands. Ardy came around from behind me and sat down in the chair across from me.

"How...how do you know it's them?" I gulped now letting go of Lez and holding the rag to my neck. He folds his hands and cleared his throat. "I went into a shop today...Bard came rushing in looking for an old tapestry of some sort." His eyes burned into mine as he spoke. "When he left it was still spread out on the table, so I looked at it and it was the Durin line."

"So that makes you think-"

"Edlyn...there's a reason he pulled out that tapestry." I knew Ardy was probably right, I just didn't want to believe he was right. I took the rag off my neck now wiping my face. All I did was nod looking into the fire now. "Lezarin give your Aunt some space." I heard Ardy say. She got up and continued to wash dishes. To think that the dwarf I once roamed the halls of Erebor with was here made my heart flutter but it also made my eyes water. I thought of him many times when I looked down at the ring on my finger. Then I thought of all the cruel things I said to him all those years ago. I still had a never ending love for him that burned deep in my heart.
