The Alpha's Mate

Chapter Two

*Cameron POV*

"Alpha, we have found a rogue on our territory." My beta Joshua informed me. " Where?" I asked not looking up from my paperwork. Being the alpha is a tough job.

"Northwest territory. Should I take a few fighters?" he questioned. "Only a few, and i'll come too." I added putting my papers away for the night.

"Jacob, Matt, Blake, meet me in the conference room in 10." I mind linked them. "Alright, lets go." I said and we walked out of the room.

I quickly jogged the conference room, and to my surprise, everyone was accounted for. "Jacob, Blake. You two surround the area where the rouge was spotted. Joshua and I will go in and talk to it. Let's do this. " I ordered, and we took off.

"Don't not shift unless there is a threat." informed through the mind link. "Yes Alpha." they replied.

We stopped running when we were almost there to avoid being heard and took off into a brisk walk. Jacob and Blake got into their positions and waited for my command. I motioned my hair over my shoulder, telling Joshua to move in.

As I started to walk forward an amazing scent filled my nostrils, it smelled like strawberries and bananas.

My wolf howled with joy, "Mate."

I walked over to her and picked her up off of the ground and pinned her up against a tree. "Mine!" I growled.

*Alexis POV*

"Mine!" he growled. Did he seriously just growl at me? "Um I am not yours or anybody's, thank you very much!" I snarled back.

He slammed my body against the tree. "You are mine! Don't you ever talk to me like that again." he barked. I slumped down to the ground. This is the reason I left my old pack! I'm not going to sit here and be treated like this!

I must have started crying at some point because I was picked up bridle style and he wiped away my tears. "I'm sorry babe." he whispered and carried me back to their pack house.

I ended up falling asleep in his arms and woke up laying next to him with his arm draping across my side. He was snoring softly behind me. "He's so cute" I thought to myself. "Wait, what the hell?! The first day you meet him you just automatically go to bed with him?!" I thought. "He's your mate! This is how it works! " my wolf debated.

I managed to free myself and headed down the stairs and eventually found the kitchen. I was hungry so I looked around in the fridge and cupboards to find food for breakfast. I ended up making eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, and waffles.

"Smells good babe." my mate said and wrapped his arms around my waist. I turned around and pushed him off of me. "First off, I don't even know your name. Second, I've only been here a day and you're all over me!" I said. "My name is Cameron, " he chuckled "and I'm all over you because you are my sexy mate." he said and wriggled his eyebrows. "By the way, what's your name?" he asked. "I'm Alexis." I smiled. "But you can call me Alex."

I turned back around and finished cooking and put it all on a plate. I grabbed another plate and put some food on it for me. I sat down at the table and Cameron sat across from me. I started eating and he reached for some bacon and I slapped his hand.

"Ow, what was that for?" he said faking injury. "This is my food, if you want some get up and get your own." I said making an invisible circle around my plate. "Fine." he pouted and got up and grabbed the plate all the food was on! " Hey what if I wanted seconds?!" i stated. "Too bad." he smirked. "Fine, but you're doing dishes!" I said and ran back up to the room panting.

I grabbed my bag and decided to take a shower. I found a towel and took my bag into the bathroom. I hopped into the shower and turned it on. It had been about four days since I had a shower and I felt so good! I grabbed my shampoo and conditioner and cleaned my hair. Then I grabbed my body wash and razor and shaved. I rinsed myself off and stepped out of the bathroom, wrapping a towel around me. I set my bag on Cameron and I's bed.

I decided to wear my Victoria's Secret matching bra and panty set, my miss me jeans, and a navy blue v-neck, finishing with my galaxy converse. I walked over to the vanity Cameron had installed for me and did my makeup and hair. I curled my hair with a curling wand and did a smokey eye and nude lipstick. I did a once over in the mirror and left the room to find out what's on the agenda today.
