"Soo sweet cheeks" said Jacob jumping onto the sofa and curling up to Connie after putting grace to bed.
Connie paused the TV then turned to Jacob.
"Right spit it out what do you want?" Said connie with a raised eyebrow
"What do you !mean what do I want?" Said Jacob with a frown
"Well every time you jump onto the sofa and say sweet cheeks you normally want something so what do you want?" Said Connie with a laugh.
"Ok so you know how I skyped my sister earlier... Well because she couldn't come to the wedding she still really wants to meet you... So she has booked a flight to come over next week and I know its short notice.. But we do have a spare room and well... You know.."
"Babe its fine" said Connie laughing at how Jacob was just waffling " I would love to meet your sister and its fine for her to stay here as the holby hotels are very expensive!"
"Ok phew.. I thought you were gonna say no" Jacob said as he relaxed.
"As if! Right so we can either watch... Chicago fire... Chicago fire or Chicago fire" said Connie flicking through the NOW TV"
" well I think we should watch Chicago fire then don't you?" Jacob said with a chuckle before they both snuggled up togther.
The next week past pretty quickly.
Connie was in her office doing some paper work when she here a knock at the door. "Come in" grace was sat on the couch with her head phones in, but looked up when she heard her mother speak.
Rita walked in "major RTC.. 4 car pile up and we need all hands on deck, first patient ETA 2 minutes"
"Ok cheers Rita" said Connie "Grace you alright in here?"
"Yeah yeah I'll be fine just make sure you go and save some lives"
Connie smiled then they both blew each other a kiss bepofre Connie walked out of the room.
"Me and you sweet cheeks?" Said Jacob who was walking the same way as here as he just got the news.
"Absolutely staff nurse masters!"
They walked into resus just as Dixie walked in behind them. She relied off the patients obs
"Ok on three please ladies and gents 1...2....3" instructed Dixie.
Connie looked down at the young girl for the first time and had to do a double take as she thought it was grace but then she remembered grace was in her office.
"You alright sweet cheeks?" Asked Jacob with a frown
Connie clears her throat "yes sorry I was just thinking... I thought she was grace for a minute"
"Ok... You alright to carry on?"
Yeah yeah I will be fine... Right OK this young lady has a pnuemathoax so can we get ready to a chest drain please" Connie instructed.
The two masters were half way through the precedure when noel came through.
"Sorry Mrs Masters, Jacob there is a lady at reception, paige? Anyway she was looking for you"
"Shit that's my sister, OK thanks noel, lofty can you take over please I will call Charlie in Connie."
"Hmm" was all she said as she was inverting the tube.
The drain start working nicely so connie took off her gloves and her apronzx when suddenly the young girls screen when crazy with noise.
"Shit her BP has hit the floor, she's crashing!" Connie started CPR.
They had been going for 20 minutes when Charlie grabbed her wrist.
"Connie Connie listen to me she's gone... Let her go" Connie looked at him in defeat.
"Time of death 13:23" Connie took one last look at the girl look helpless and as pale as ever on the bed. The worst thing wass ,was that her parents were still at the incident as they hadn't been brought in yet.
Connie stormed out of resus tears threating to fall. She got to her office and slammed the door. Grace looked up to see her mum crying and jumped up to give her a hug.
"Well lost a 14 year old girl. And my didn't she look like you!" Said Connie with a river falling down her face
"But I'm still here OK. And I'm not going anywhere." The two females swayed whilst Connie tried her damn hardest to get control of her tears.
Jacob walked through the door a few minutes later then stopped in her tracks when he saw Connie's face.
"Oh babe come here" Jacob held out his arms knowing exactly what just happened and Connie gladly took them and cried even harder into his shoulder.
After about 2 minutes Connie had finally got a hold on her tears when she asked "wheres your sister?"
"Just out side the door I told her to wait for a moment but I think we should do this when we are at home don't you?" He said wiping away the last few remainders of tears.
"No no come on let's meet her now, I will quickly out on some more mascara and eyeliner just so I look a little more presentable" Connie chuckled.
"Mum you look fine, come on I have wait all day to meet her" Connie and Jacob laughed at grace as she smiled.
"Ok OK I will go get her"
Jacob pulled his sister around the corner of the door then Connie stood there speechless
"Connie?" Said paige in disbelief
"Paige? Oh my god!"
The two females went up to each other an hugged leaving a very confused Jacob and grace.
"Jacob you could have bloody tiold me that the woman you were marring was the Connie Beauchump!"
"Wait you two know eachother?" Said Jacob and grace at the same time.
"Yeah we used to work up on cardiothrasics, upstairs, and we were like the best of friends!" Said Connie with a massive grin "oh I should have put two and two together"
Connie and paige laugh bepfre aige said "and grace the last time I saw you, you were a babe in arms!"
Grace just smiled.
"Right I'm gonna go and tell Zoe I'm off and seeing as Charlie just saw me having a breakdown in resus he would make me go home e anyway." Said Connie.
"I was gonna say have you been crying?" Said paige rubbing Connie's arm.
"Yeah just had an emotional case that's all." She smiled
Connie went off quickly to tell Zoe she was off home then Jacob and grace and Connie drove home in Connie's car whilst paige followed behind in her car.
The 4 of them were in for a big couple of weeks!!
