Chapter 10- Hunger Games

Joey's POV

I woke up and Shane wasn't in bed. Where would he be?

Joey: Shane?

I didn't hear anything. I walked downstairs.

Joey: Shane?

I heard some shouting coming from his living room. I stood outside of the room and listened.

Shane: Just leave us alone!

X: No!

Who was that? It couldn't have been Shane's mom. I peeked into the room. It was Lisa!

Shane: What the f*ck do you want?!

Lisa: You to dump him and be with me! Two guys together... that's just gross!

Shane: So you're against me being gay?!

Lisa: Hell yeah! It's disgusting and we were perfect together! You said you loved me!

Shane: I did love you!

That broke my heart. Does he still love her?

Lisa: Then why did you break up with me for that asshole?!

Shane: Because I like him! And I'm gay! And your a bitch!

He said like. He didn't say love. Is it true? He loves Lisa more than me.

Lisa: Face it! You love me more than him!

It went silent. I looked around the corner again. I can't believe it! They were kissing again! And Shane was kissing back! I broke down. Right there. I started crying and shaking. Then I blacked out.

Shane's POV

I heard Joey start crying. I pushed Lisa off of me. Nothing else mattered except for Joey. He passed out. I think he was having a panic attack.

Shane: Joey?

He didn't answer.

Lisa: What about us?!

Shane: F*ck off bitch!

She ran out. Good riddance! I carried Joey upstairs. He wasn't very heavy. I laid him down on my bed and pulled the covers over him. He stopped shaking and I wiped his tears.

Shane: Joey? I'm sorry.

He didn't move. He was asleep. I decided to go shoot a video while waiting for him to wake up.

Joey's POV

I woke up in Shane's bed. Was it all a dream? A looked at the clock. No, it was much later in the day.

Joey: Shane?

Wait. Did I even want to see Shane? Does he like me anymore. I guess I began shaking and crying again.

Shane: Joey? Are you ok? Why are you crying?

I couldn't answer. He was so nice and caring yet I didn't know if he liked me.

Shane: Forget whatever happened earlier. Just calm down and then we'll talk.

He hugged me and waited for me to calm down. A few minutes later he began to talk.

Shane: Alright Joey, what happened? Why were you crying?

Joey: Because you don't love me...

He was silent. I looked up him. Why was he smirking? He kissed me. I didn't know if I should kiss him back. He pulled away.

Shane: Joey of course I love you. I didn't tell Lisa that because she would've gotten jealous and would try to hurt you.

He was serious. I loved him too. And grabbed his face and kissed him. He kissed back. We fell back onto his bed and continued to kiss. He pulled away.

Shane: So are you ok?

Joey: Yeah!

Shane: Good!

Joey: Why were you and Lisa arguing?

He sat up and sighed.

Shane: I don't know. She just won't leave me alone. I know she wants to get back together but I love you.

Joey: I love you too.

Shane: Do you wanna do something? I already talked to my mom about the apartment.

Joey: Did we get it?

Shane: She's gonna go make an offer later.

Joey: So what are we gonna do?

Shane: Um, swimming?

Joey: You just want to see me shirtless don't you?

Shane: Yes!

I sat up. Really Shane?

Shane's POV

I really wanted to see him shirtless!

Shane: C'mon!

I ran to the bathroom to get dressed. I came out and Joey was texting.

Shane: Ugh!

I hopped onto the bed next to him and looked at his phone.

Joey: Sorry! I'm texting Stacey, Meghan, and Luke!

Shane: Why?

Joey: Well, Meghan and me have to film stuff for Teen, Stacey and I have to film some hunger craft, and I'm telling Luke about us!

Shane: Well, Mr. Popular! And what's hunger craft?

Joey: You should play hunger craft with us! It's like the hunger games in minecraft.

Shane: Ok, first off I've never seen the hunger games, and second I've never played minecraft.

Joey: Well Shane. Looks like you're gonna have a very busy night!

Shane: Oh dear. Are we still swimming?

Joey: Nope. But I play shirtless.

Shane: I'm in!

Joey: Ok! I'm texting her now. We can play at Sawyer's.

I went back to the bathroom and got changed again. I walked back out and Joey was gone.

Shane: Joey?

I heard a noise behind me. I turned around and saw Joey trying to scare me.

Joey: Hi! Ready to go?

Shane: Yep.

He drove us over to Sawyer's. He set up the computers and camera's. His friend Stacey had joined us.

Joey: You ready?

He pulled off his shirt. Man, he looked a lot better than I do. But he's still hot!

Shane: Defiantly.

I kissed him and he kissed back. But a second later he pushed me off. What the hell?

Shane: Why?

Joey: Stacey can hear us and we have to film.

Stacey: Yeah I can hear you guys! Shane don't swear!

Joey: Well, I guess he can. It doesn't matter.

Stacey: Well having you here is enough.

I laughed. He put on a headset and gave me one.

Joey: You guys are rude!

We started recording. Our game started and Joey told me where to run.

Joey: Just keep running that way and me and Stacey will meet up with you.

They gave me a sword but I never used it. We all made it to the death match.

Stacey: Let's kill Shane!

Joey: Yeah! You better run boy!

Shane: Oh f*ck! I'm running! I'm running!

They started laughing at me. Stacey had cornered me and we started attacking each other. Thankfully Joey ran by and hit her and killed her.

Stacey: What the heck Joey!

He started cracking up. I took this time to hit him.

Joey: Oh shit!

He hit me back and killed me.

Shane: No fair!

Stacey: Joey the jerk!

Joey: I'm sorry guys! I'm just so good!

We finished the video and Joey started the Hunger Games movie while he edited the video. When he was done he joined me. The movie was pretty good.

Joey: No!

Shane: What?

Joey: Rue died!

Shane: That little black girl?

Joey: Yeah! And don't say that!

We finished the movie and I was really into it.

Shane: What the f*ck? That's it?!

Joey: Yeah! They're making the second movie now.

Shane: Oh! That movie was really long.

Joey: Yeah. I'm tired.

Shane: Me too. Take me home?

Joey: Why? You can stay here!

Shane: I have to talk with my mom. See how it went.

Joey: Oh. Ok c'mon!

We got into his car and he drove us home. I walked inside and my mom hugged me.

Mom: You got the apartment!

Shane: Oh my god! When can we move in?

Mom: 4 days!

I have to tell Joey. I ran outside.

Shane: Joey!

Joey: Yeah?

Shane: We got the apartment!

Joey: That's great! We do we move?

Shane: 4 days!

Joey: That's great! I gonna go now. Goodnight Shaney!

Shane: Alright, goodnight.

I kissed his cheek. He hugged me. He then got in his and drove back to Sawyer's. I went back inside.

Shane: Goodnight mom!

I walked upstairs and collapsed in bed. I fell asleep for about an hour and I was awaken by a phone call.

Shane: Hello?

Joey: Shane? I'm scared.

Shane: Why?

Joey: I got a text from someone threatening me.

Shane: Who's threatening you?
