Chapter 65- Gone

Joey's POV

I woke up in my bed. That's weird. Wasn't I just in the hospital for 2 days? Whatever. I get out of bed and walk into the living room. I don't hear anything.

Joey: Shane? Where are you?

I look around and see blood. Everywhere. I panic. Is Shane ok? I run around trying to find him.

Joey: Shane! Shane! Where are you?!

I walk into the kitchen and see his dead body lying on the floor. I run over and feel him. His chest isn't moving either.

Joey: Shane! No!

I try to find my phone but I can't. I hold Shane. I'm shaking and crying onto his chest.

Joey: Shane! Come back! I need you!

I hear a voice behind me. I stand up and face it.

Tyler: Hello Joey.

Joey: Did you do that?

What a stupid question. Of course he did it. My eyes went down to his hand. He held a bloody knife. My eyes started tearing up again.

Tyler: Who else?

Joey: Why?

Tyler: I would never let anyone stand in my way of what I want.

I backed up. He stepped forward.

Joey: Stop! Leave me alone!

Tyler: Come with me Joey.

Joey: No! Never!

Tyler: Either come with me or die.

Joey: Do it!

Tyler: One last chance.

Joey: Never! Just do it!

I closed my eyes and felt the blade on my neck. Tears fell down my face and I started choking. I couldn't breathe. I fell to the floor next to Shane.

Joey: Shane, I'm coming with you.

I felt the blade enter my chest. I started coughing and held Shane. I opened my eyes and see Tyler smirking. He brings the knife back up and then into my chest. I close my eyes. I feel nothing.

Tyler: Bye Joey.

His voice is getting fainter. I fight the urge to fall asleep.

Tyler: If you stayed with me he'd be safe. And so would you.

He's right. I did this. I caused the death of both of us.

Joey: I'm sorry Shane.

Tyler: Too late now. If he was alive he'd hate you right now.

He's right. I start choking again. I can't breathe for real this time.

Joey: Shane! Shane!

X: Joey?

Joey: Shane!

I gasping for air. I keep calling his name wishing this didn't happen.

X: Joey.

Joey: Shane! Shane! I'm sorry!

X: Joey!

Joey: Sh-shane...

X: Joey! Come on Joey!

Joey: Shane...

I open my eyes and see a bright light.
