Chapter 69- Friends
Joey's POV
I wake to Shane face really close to mine. But he looks like he's been awake for a while.
Shane: Finally you're up!
Joey: How long was I asleep?
Shane: It's 1. I got up early again.
Joey: Oh no! I'm becoming you!
He looked hurt and left the room. I sigh and close my eyes.
Joey: Shaney! I'm sorry! It was a joke! Come back!
I feel some pressure on my stomach. I open my eyes. It's him. I smile.
Shane: Wanna throw that party or hang out with friends?
Joey: Let's invite some friends over. We can make some gaming videos!
Shane: Why? So millions of people can watch me fail on the Internet?
Joey: You can't be that bad. I taught you how to play minecraft.
Shane: I haven't played since the last time we played together.
Joey: I'll teach you how to play before we film. Ok?
Shane: Fine...
Joey: Don't have that kind of attitude!
I lean up and kiss him. He takes me by surprise when he lifts me off the bed. I wrap my arms around him trying not to fall. He sets me down in the kitchen. He made a fancy lunch. Well, fancy for Shane.
Joey: Aww! Thanks Shane!
Shane: No problem. Next time wake up!
I laugh and sit with him and enjoy the lunch he made. The chicken was really good. But it's chicken so of course it's good. I finished then ran into the bedroom. I grabbed my phone and texted some friends.
Joey: Wanna come over and hang out tonight? About 7?
Luke: Yeah! See ya!
Sawyer: I'll be there.
Anthony: Kalel and I will come.
Meghan: I'm coming!
Ingrid: Me too!
Ian: Me three!
Stacy: Will there be games?
Joey: Yes. We will play games.
Stacy: Ok. I'll come.
Lisa: I'm coming.
Joey: See you all here!
Luke: I'm bringing alcohol. Hope you don't mind.
Joey: Not at all!
I run back to Shane who was cleaning up our lunch. I kiss his cheek and he turns towards me.
Joey: I invited over some friends. They'll be here at 7!
Shane: Good. We have time to-
He started making hand gestures. I roll my eyes.
Joey: Yeah. Let's do it. Now.
Shane looked shocked. Did he not expect me to say yes? I giggle and drag him to our bedroom.
Shane: Wait. Are we-
Joey: You suggested it.
Shane: But I was joking.
Joey: Ok. Fine.
I walk out and hear him call after me.
Shane: I didn't mean it like that!
Joey: It's fine. I gotta do something.
Shane: Ok. Sorry babe.
I sit down at my computer and record some minecraft. I'm running out of gaming videos. Eventually Shane walks in.
Shane: Oh! Shirtless Joey! I think I'll stick around.
Joey: Oh Shane.
He sits next to me and makes faces at my face cam.
Joey: Stop it! You're creeping them out!
Shane: Fine. I'll just watch.
I wrap up my last episode as I hear a knock at the door. I check my phone. It's 6:30 so they should be showing up. I answer the door.
Luke: Hey- oh sorry. Did I interrupt you two again?
Joey: Nope. Just playing minecraft.
Luke: Ok. Cool!
I invite him in and we talk in the kitchen. Soon enough other people come so I grab a shirt.
Meghan: Joey!
Joey: Meghan-san! Ready to play some games?
Meghan: Yeah!
Stacy: Is Shane playing?
Joey: Yes! I'm gonna teach how to play. I'm a very good teacher. Remember? I taught you two.
Meghan: Rude!
Stacy: And disrespectful!
We all crack up and Shane walks in.
Shane: What's so funny?
Joey: Nothing.
Shane: You're having sex with other men?!
Joey: What?!
Meghan and Stacy crack up. I shoot them a glare.
Shane: Hey! I wanted in on the jokes too.
Joey: Go socialize!
Shane: Do I have to?
Joey: Yes. I love you.
I run off to find other people. I see Smosh and Kalel.
Kalel: Hey Joey. I love your apartment. I can help you design it and fix it up with you.
Joey: I'd love that!
Anthony: What games are we gonna play.
Joey: Some video games and we'll record them. And some others like truth or dare.
Ian: Truth or dare? And most of us drunk?
Joey: Oh well.
Kalel: Let's play now!
Joey: Ok. I gotta get Shane. This will be priceless.
