Chapter 32- Family!

Joey's POV

I can't wait! We're getting a dog! It's like we're starting a family!

Shane: Calm down.

Joey: I can't! We're starting our family!

Shane raised his eyebrow and looked at me weirdly

Shane: Family?

Joey: Yeah. You, me, and our puppy!

Shane: What about kids?

Joey: Is this your way of proposing to me?

Shane: No! I'm not ready for that. But a dog is good.

Joey: Let's go!

I drag him out of the apartment and to his car. When he got in I already had my seatbelt on. We drove on silence because I was thinking about the types of dogs we could get.

Joey: Are we only getting one? I think we should get two or something.

Shane: Maybe later. Have you ever had a dog before?

Joey: Not really.

Shane: It's hard work. Let's get one and maybe another later on.

Joey: Ok...

I pouted. He kissed my cheek. He took my hand and held it the whole way to the pet store. When we got there, I hopped out and ran inside. I started looking at all of the dogs. They were so cute!

Shane: Joey?

Joey: Over here!

He walked up behind me.

Shane: You should pick out a dog. I have like 50 already.

I walked around for about 10 minutes.

Joey: Shane! They're all so cute!

Shane: Pick one. Come on.

Joey: Don't rush me!

Shane: Ugh!

He walked off and started playing with his phone. I rolled my eyes. He's so impatient.

Shane's POV

He was taking forever! I took out my phone and started texting Lisa.

S: Hey girl!

L: Hey! What's up?

S: Joey is indecisive!

L: What?

S: We're getting a dog and he can't choose!

L: Oh! What kind of dog?

S: Whatever Joey picks.

L: That's nice of you! Corny and your dog should have a puppy play date.

S: Good idea!

Joey: Shane!

S: Gotta go! Bye!

Shane: Yeah?

He walked up to me carrying a puppy that was licking his face.

Shane: Is that the one you want?

Joey: Well it has to like you!

He handed me the puppy. It was hyper like Joey this morning. It wouldn't sit still. I felt like I was gonna drop it.

Shane: You take it.

I handed it back to him. The dog settled down a bit. I guess to liked Joey better than me.
