Chapter 98- Don't Get Mad

Shane's POV

We arrive at my mom's house. Nicole and Jett settle in my old bedroom. While Joey and I talk to my mom and his parents. But he drags me into the kitchen.

Shane: What?

Joey: We need to tell them about Jessica.

Shane: Oh...

Joey: I don't want them to get mad!

A few tears fall down his face. I give him a hug. He starts to cry on my chest.

Shane: Shh. It will be fine. They'll understand just like I did.

Joey: No they won't! They'll hate me!

Shane: They support you. You're their son.

Joey: You won't leave? Even if things get ugly?

Shane: Of course not. Stop crying and lets talk to them.

He sniffles and wipes his tears. I give him a kiss then take his hand. We sit down on the couch across from our parents.

Joey's POV

I was frightened. This was worse than coming out. Shane squeezes my hand and gives me a reassuring smile.

Mom: Joey! Shane! What's new?

Joey: Uh...

I look over at Shane. He gives me a look saying that I have to tell them eventually. I turn back to them.

Joey: Well I need to tell you guys something serious. Don't get mad.

Dad: What's going on?

Joey: I... got a girl pregnant.

Dad: What?

Shane's mom: Is this true?

Joey: Y-yeah.

Mom: Did Shane know?

Shane: Yes. And I'm not mad at him.

Shane's mom: Who is it?

Mom: And what will happen to the baby?

Dad: How did this happen?

Joey: Well it's Jessica. The girl from Storytellers. And she drugged me and convinced me to have sex with her.

Shane: And we decided to put it up for adoption.

Joey: Are you guys mad?

Dad: How could you be so irresponsible? And Shane, why would you forgive him easily?

Joey: I'm sorry...

Shane: I love him too much to leave him.

Mom: Please tell me that's all of the bad news we have to hear.

Joey: Yes. That's all mom.

*later*

We finally lay down in bed. Suddenly I start to cry. Shane sits up quickly and turns on the light. I crawl over to him and lay in his lap.

Shane: What's wrong?

Joey: I don't know!

He stroke my hair and tells me to calm down. I close my eyes. Eventually I drift off to sleep.

Shane's POV

Aww. He's really stressed. He fell asleep in my lap. I didn't want to move him so I adjusted the blankets and placed a pillow behind my head. Then I fell asleep too.

*Morning*

I feel Joey shift in my lap. I rub my eyes and watch him wake up.

Joey: Did you sleep like that all night?

Shane: Yeah.

Joey: Isn't your back sore?

I stretch my back. It is sore. Oh well.

Shane: Want breakfast? Then you gotta get ready for tonight.

Joey: Ooh! What are we doing?

Shane: Going out to a bar. Try not to get wasted.

Joey: What about everyone else. They'll all be drunk. Are you gonna drive everyone home?

Shane: I hope not. Now get up!

*Later*

Joey's POV

I finish doing my hair. I walk into the bedroom where Shane is waiting.

Shane: You look nice babe.

He smiles at me then gives me a kiss. I start to kiss back.

Tyler: Don't get started! We have places to be!

I pull back and laugh. Oh Tyler. Shane takes my hand dragging me to the living room.

Shane: Lets go have fun!
