Chapter 37- Don't Leave
Shane's POV
Oh no! He wants to know! I can't ruin it! And if I tell where I was he'll get mad.
Joey: I'm serious Shane! Tell me!
He was getting mad. I took his hand and tried to calm him down.
Shane: Calm down. It's a surprise. I can't tell you.
Joey: Shane! You're keeping a secret! Tell me!
Shane: No! You get upset if I tell you!
Joey: I'm already upset! Why won't you tell me?! Is it because you're cheating?! Am I not good enough?!
I love Joey. I wish I could tell him but I can't. I love him too much.
Shane: I love Joey! I really do! I'm not cheating! I would never do that to you!
Joey: I won't believe you!
Shane: Please Joey?
Joey: No!
I looked down at the floor. What happened? I regret ever leaving that night. I just want to be here with Joey, happy again. But that's not gonna happen until I tell or he gets over it. I look up and see Joey crying.
Joey: What did I do?
Shane: Nothing! I love you Joey-bear!
I kiss him. He kissed back for a second and pushes away. I hurt him. And he doesn't even know the worst part yet.
Joey: I wish you could tell me...
Shane: Me too...
Joey: Then f*cking tell me Shane!
Shane: I can't! Back off!
Joey: How bout you!
Shane: Whatever.
I leave. I need to get away from all of this stress. I drive to my mom's. she'll give me advice.
Joey's POV
He left me! He was probably going off somewhere with this other person that's stealing Shaney away from me! I walk into the kitchen still crying. I look at all of the medicine on the counter. I could just... No! You can't! But it help. I stare at it for awhile.
Joey: Shoey.
I pick up the dog. I kiss her and put her down. Shoey. The name sounds so perfect but Shane apparently doesn't think so. It's not Shoey anymore, it's Shane and Joey. I sigh and walk back to the kitchen. I pick up the medicine. It will make all of my troubles go away...
Shane's POV
Shane: What should I do! He can't hear any of that! It'll ruin our relationship!
Mom: Maybe you can try talking to him.
Shane: I tried that! That's how I ended up here!
Mom: Maybe I can talk to him. He'll listen to me. And I won't tell him anything.
Shane: Fine. I'll call him.
I walk upstairs and into my room. It's still a mess from Joey. I sigh. Joey. The love of my life hates me. And if I tell the truth he'll hate me more. I call him. He doesn't pick up. I try again. No answer. I text him.
Shane: Joey my mom wants to talk to you.
No response.
Shane: Just call her or something.
I throw my phone somewhere and fall back onto the bed. I close my eyes and fall asleep.
*Next morning*
I wake up and search for my phone. I threw it somewhere. I pick it up and check the time.
1:34pm.
Great. I check for any calls or text from Joey. None. I walk downstairs looking through Twitter.
Shane: Hey mom.
Joey: Shane!

Thought he was dead right? :P

I look up an see Joey. Why is he here? Oh yeah. I told him to talk to my mom. He runs up to me and gives me a big hug. I look at my mom. She gives me a thumbs up. Does that mean she talked to him? He pulls back.
Joey: I missed you! Don't leave me!
He grabs my face and kisses me. I begin to kiss back. He pulls away.
Joey: Listen, I believe you. But one day, I want to know the truth. Ok?
I smile.
Shane: Yeah. Of course.
Joey: Let's go home.
Shane: Ok.
We both drive home. He makes me take my medicine right away. Then we sit on the couch.
Joey: Listen Shane, you can't ever leave me again.
Shane: I won't-
Joey: Because last night, I almost killed myself.
What? How? Joey. He's so perfect!
Shane: What?
Joey: I wanted to get rid of the pain. I promise I won't do it again but just don't leave me.
Shane: Ok. I promise!
Joey: I love you Shaney!
Shane: I love you too Joey-bear!
