Chapter 51- Celebration

Joey's POV

I wake up really early and waltz downstairs. I find my mom in the kitchen.

Mom: My, you're up early.

Joey: I guess I couldn't sleep. I'm just so happy!

I keep looking down at the ring. It's beautiful. It has 3 small diamonds on it. The one in the center is the biggest. The rest is silver. I love it. I love him!

Mom: It's beautiful. He showed me it before he proposed. I knew you would love it.

Joey: I do. Ah! I'm so happy! I have too much energy!

Mom: Well how about you make breakfast?

Joey: Sure!

I make eggs and pancakes for everyone. Jett is here today. I wonder if I should tell him. Would he even understand? I sit at the table with my mom.

Joey: How will I tell Jett? I don't think he'll understand.

Mom: Just tell him. Explain it if he get confused.

I nod and run upstairs. I wake my handsome fiancé.

Joey: Up sleepyhead! I made breakfast! And my little brother is here!

Shane: You seem excited...

He still has his eyes shut. I lean down and give him a quick kiss.

Shane: That's it?

Joey: Get up! Then you can have more!

He groans and sits up. We're inches apart. I look at his beautiful eyes. Then I lean in and give him a kiss. Then I heard a knock at the door. I open it and see Jett and Nicole.

Joey: Jett!

I pick him up and give him a hug. I set him back and he points at Shane.

Jett: Who's that?

Joey: Oh. That's Shane. And, um, we're getting married.

Jett: How?

Ugh. This was what I was afraid of.

Joey: Two boys can get married.

Jett: Really?

Joey: Yeah. How about we go eat breakfast.

Nicole take the hint and guides him downstairs.

Shane: You ok?

Joey: Kinda.

I sit on his lap and lay back against his chest. He hugs me then gets up.

Shane: Let's go eat. I'm hungry.

Joey: When are you never?

He laughs and we go downstairs. We eat breakfast and return to our room.

Shane: Wow!

Joey: What?

Shane: Come here.

I sit in his lap and he shows me his phone. So many nice comments on the engagement video. I turn around and kiss him. Then I grab my phone. I have tons of texts from friends.

Luke: Congrats man!

Ingrid: Congratulation! I love the ring!

Lisa: I helped Shane. I knew you'd say yes.

Sawyer: Congrats guys! I'm happy for you.

Joey: Uh, Shane.

Shane: Yeah?

I show him a text.

Tyler: Lovely ring! See you when you get back from Boston!

Shane: Don't worry. I'll protect you. No one can lay a hand on you!

I laugh. He's so protective. It's really cute.

Shane: So where did you wanna go yesterday?

Joey: Nothing as romantic as what you planned! I can't top that!

Shane: Oh I know a way!

He winked. I blushed and laughed.

Joey: My brother's down there!

Shane: We'll be quiet.

Now I'm laughing my butt off. He kisses my cheek.

Joey: Well I know a really fancy, romantic place we go for dinner.

Shane: Let's go. We can celebrate our engagement.

*At dinner*

Shane: This place is nice.

Joey: Yeah. I know.

We sit down and the waitress walks up to us. She smiles at me. It's awkward.

Cindy: I'm Cindy. I'll be your waitress. What do want?

She was only looking at me. I felt really uncomfortable. We ordered then she walked away and winked. She came back with our food and straight up flirted with me.

Cindy: You wanna hang out sometime?

Shane was getting mad. I took his hand under the table.

Joey: I'm engaged.

I showed her the ring. She gave Shane a disgusted look. He still looked upset.

Joey: That was really uncomfortable.

Shane: Everyone hits on you!

Joey: Aww! Shaney. I love you and no bitch can take me away from you.

He gasped.

Shane: You swore.

Joey: I'm making a point. I love you.

I leaned across the table and kissed him. I don't care that we're in the middle of a restaurant. I love him and now were engaged. I still can't believe it.
