Chapter 62- Relief

Luke's POV

We were just sitting around watching tv and trying to figure out what to do. Then Shane's phone rang. I picked up immediately.

Luke: Hello?

X: Hello. Is this Shane Dawson? Joey Graceffa's fiancé.

Luke: Uh, no. I'm one if their friends.

X: Well we have have Mr. Graceffa here at the hospital-

I felt sick to my stomach. Hospital. Joey. He got hurt. Did Tyler hurt him?

Luke: What happened?

By now Lisa, Sawyer, and Meghan sat down next to me. They all looked worried like me.

X: It says he got hit by a moving car-

I felt tears fall from my eyes. A car! My best friend could be dead!

Luke: Is he ok?

My voice was shaky. I was terrified. What if he died? And what about Shane? He would be devastated.

X: We're not sure yet. He's in surgery.

Luke: Can we visit him?

X: As soon as he gets out of surgery. Just be quiet and don't move him.

Luke: Ok thanks. Bye.

I hung up and set the phone down.

Meghan: What happened?

Lisa: Do you know where they are?

Sawyer: Are you ok?

Luke: Joey's in the hospital. He was hit by a car and they don't how he's doing. And I'm worried about Shane.

They gasp. They have tears falling down their cheeks too.

Lisa: He could die!

Sawyer: Let's go now!

Meghan: I'll drive!

We all got in her car. She seemed the most calm out of all of us. Maybe she knows Joey will pull through. That's comforting. I smile until we get to the hospital. We rush inside while Meghan talks to the nurse.

Meghan: This way!

We follow her to a room. We wait outside for the doctor to walk out. When he does we look up at him in silence.

Dr: So Joey seems fine. He will be in pain and we're not sure if he remembers what happened. He should wake up sometime in the next few hours. You can see him now.

We all run in and sit next to Joey. He looks pale and he's bruised. But he doesn't look like he might be seriously hurt. I exhale and smile. He will be ok. I look up at Meghan. She smiled at me. She knew what I was thinking. Then we sat around watching him until we fell asleep.

Joey's POV

I wake up in a white room. My whole body hurts. I can't sit up. I open my eyes but everything is blurry.

Joey: Shane?

Luke: Joey?

Joey: What happened?

Meghan: Do you remember?

Joey: Not really... Where's Shane?

Lisa: He was kidnaped. Remember?

Joey: I didn't find him?

I start to panic. What happened to me?

Luke: Calm down. What do you remember last?

I check my hand to make sure the ring was still there. It was so I looked back up to start talking.

Joey: I was running away from Tyler. I stopped and checked the road sign. I was lost. And I know where Shane is. You have to take me to him.

Luke: We can't. You need to heal.

I start crying. I need Shane! And what if he's hurt? I need to see him and make sure he was ok. Meghan sits on my bed and hugs me.

Meghan: Lisa and Sawyer can go get him. Alright?

Sawyer: Yeah. Just tell us where he is.

I tell them the exact address.

Lisa: How did you remember that but not how you got hurt?

Joey: Shane is way more important.

Luke: When do you think you'll be back?

Lisa: Um... Sometime tomorrow. We swear.

They get up and leave. Then I realize Meghan and I are still hugging. We let go of each other.

Meghan: So you don't remember what happened?

Joey: Nope.

Luke: They said you got hit by a car. And you hit your head.

I try to remember but I just can't. I sigh and lay back.

Meghan: Are you taking a nap?

Joey: Yep.

I close my eyes and fall to sleep.

*Sometime Later*

Shane's POV

Knock knock.

Someone knocked on the door. We all looked at each other. No one ever bothered us. They both answer it and step outside.

Shane: Who is it?

X and X: Us!

They run in. And I couldn't be happier.

Shane: Lisa! Sawyer!

Lisa: Are you ok?

Shane: Yeah. How did you find me?

They begin I untie me.

Sawyer: Joey told us...

There was a hint of sorrow in his voice. I stand up. Did something happen to Joey?
