Kaos smirked, clapping his hands together. "Good! Good. Oh, and, Glumshanks? Loosen up, will you? I don't know how you're suppose to accomplish ANYTHING in our line of work if you can't even muster a weak smile!"
Without waiting for the timid troll henchman to respond, Kaos snapped his fingers together and the image on the glass faded away. Being replaced with the original image of Kaos' reflection. That little chat had gone quite well in his books.
Scrape: What was that about, Kaos?
"Silence, fool." Kaos grumbled.
Scrape: Aw... but it's fun-
"I said, SILENCE!"
Scrape: *pouty face* Hmph. Fine. Be that way. See if I care. WHICH I DON'T!
Kaos sneered devilishly, rubbing his hands together in anticipation. A giggle escaped his mouth. That giggling turned into cackling; and that cackling turned into a full on fit of maniacal laughter. A few seconds later, Kaos began coughing from lack of air in his lungs and too much laughing.
Scrape: Typical Kaos. Need a cough drop?
"SHUT IT!" Kaos yelled at the top of his lungs in between coughs. His eyes narrowing.
Scrape: ....
"Better."
Whisp: *smirking* Kaos... *giggles, pointing to the corner Shade is hiding in* A friend of yours is here...
Scrape: I thought you said we couldn't mess with their lives.
Whisp: ...oh. Right. Heh heh heh... *sigh*
"WHAAT!?" Kaos turned to face the corner Shade was hunkered down in and glared at him. A smirk spreading across Kaos' face. "Wanted to pay your old master a visit, eh? You could have just asked." Kaos simpered, his eyes gleaming.
Shade gulped, stuffing the recorder back in his pocket. He cursed under his breath, then froze as the door was slowly being pushed open. Kaos seemed to notice this new development too, because his gaze shifted from Shade to the door in almost an instant as it was slowly being pushed open. Shoria poked her head into the room.
"Kaos...? I heard shouting coming from-" Shoria's eyes drifted to where the Portal Masters were leaning against Kaos' wall. They didn't seem like real - living - people. More like holograms of real people. They shimmered and glowed a shade of green. "So Mammagma wasn't lying..."
Whisp: Nope! Do you think he'd lie?
Scrape: Erin-chan! We've been found out! RUN! *snaps fingers together and disappears*
Whisp: Myah! Coming! *Does the same thing Scrape did and fades away in a flash*
Kaos looked over at Shoria. Clearly not impressed. "Oh. So it's 'everyone go invade Kaos' personal space day', is it?" He asked sarcastically, his voice slow.
Shoria rolled her eyes, smiling weakly at Kaos' snarky remark. "I only wanted to make sure you were okay. It's almost class time, anyway." As if on cue, the bell sounded once more. Signalling the start of classes. "Uh oh. We'll be late! Hurry, come on! I need to see your schedule. So I know which classes you'll be heading too."
Kaos shook his head.
"Oh, come on, Kaos! Hand it over." Shoria sighed. She didn't have time for this.
Kaos shook his head again. Shoria couldn't tell if he was playing dumb, or just really didn't want her seeing his schedule. Shoria let out an exasperated sigh, then rushed out of the room, her feet barely touching the ground as she ran. Kaos took one last look at where Shade had been. There was no trace of the snoopy Darkling. He must have gotten away in the near commotion that had occurred. Kaos swore under his breath, then turned towards the door and bolted after Shoria calling, "HEY! WAIT FOR ME!". Kaos saw Shoria dart around a corner, a few feet ahead of him, but getting away quick. Kaos skidded to the side, then followed after her as quick as he could. The two heading towards the main building.
