Mie-Mia zoomed off, fast as a bullet as soon as the words had left Pandergast's holographic mouth, the water churning up around her into choppy waves, causing the other vehicles to be pushed to the side as she passed. Despite this, though, Ringmaster was quick on her tail, pulling up alongside her in no time flat. Mie-Mia looked over to see Ringmaster waving at her before attempting to pull ahead. A low growl escaping her maw, Mie-Mia pressed a few buttons on her dashboard and the paw-like structure covering the top of her ship moved off and to the side, the one Ringmaster was on.
"Miyaow~ A cat loves some balloons to pop! Come here, little monkey, myah!" She said in a sweet, yet sharp and demanding tone, the paw now trying to reach out towards Ringmaster's vehicle with its claws as she swerved towards it.
"I'm a lemur!" Ringmaster shouted indignantly, her ship almost capsizing as she steered the Floater out of the way to avoid the claws.
As she sped ahead, Ringmaster looked up to see two pipes, larger than the others, jutting out of the sopping, muddy banks, the river ahead too narrow for any vehicles to squeeze through. The right pipe had a thick stream of curdled, sloppy chemicals spilling from its jagged maw, the left a mere trickle. Ringmaster decided to take the left pipe, Mie-Mia speeding after her, basically bumper to bumper.
"Mrrow, lemur mwmur! Nobody overtakes Mie-Mia!"
Using the pipe as a ramp of sorts, she pulled ahead of Ringmaster, the paw fanning out from the ship slightly and beginning to shoot... angry cats? The hissing furballs clung onto Ringmaster's vehicle, tearing at it ferociously. Back in the stands, Scrape growled as she bared her fangs, leaning over the dividing railing once again - despite the stench wafting up from the water - as her fur bristled. Already, this Mie-Mia chick was pissing her off.
"Anyone else already despise her?" The Nekokin asked, glancing back at the others.
Whisp growled in unison with Scrape. "I despised her long before you did, believe me."
Lucarian nodded, earning an agreeable grunt from Shade, the darkling crossing his arms as he frowned at the scene. Beside him, Mammagma had gotten to his feet, his hands cupped around his mouth as he joined the roaring crowds.
"Kick her butt to kingdom come!!" He shouted. Being the large figure he was, though, the complaints came quickly from the stands behind him, boos and jeers cutting through the cheering like a knife through butter. It quieted down when Shade shot them an angered glare, but Mammagma had already sat down, breathing a disgruntled sigh. 'You're welcome..."
"Get off!" Ringmaster shouted.
Back in the race, pressing a button, the eccentric lemur dived into the murky stream of water, the cats letting go almost immediately as they were pulled away by the current, mewling and hissing as they were dragged away by the stream of sludge. Rising back to the surface in front of Mie-Mia, Ringmaster slammed her paw down on another button, a cannonball-like balloon rocketing out of her confetti cannon engine and slamming into the glass of Mie-Mia's fishbowl, exploding into glitter and confetti on impact. The ship spiralled back for a few seconds before the cat got it back under control, her grasp tightening on the wheel as she sped forward to catch up with Ringmaster, the sloshing waters washing away most of the glitter and leaving her view clear for the most part.
Scrape cringed on impact, giggling. "Now, that's gotta hurt! COME ON, RINGMASTER! YOU CAN DO IT! MAKE THAT HOUSE KITTY FEEL THE WRATH OF THE SKYLANDERS!"
The Nekokin thrust her fist into the air as she meowed happily, jumping up and down as she clung onto the railing. It was a few seconds before Scrape had realized she was falling over the railing and would soon be hurtling, face first, into the sludge below. Before she could, though, Lucarian rushed into action and grabbed ahold of Scrape's tail. He knew it must've hurt, but it was much better than letting her fall. Slowly, he pulled her back over the edge and into her seat, letting her regain her ground as he let go. Scrape sat down with a thump, then smiled over at her friend.
