Ms. Tea and Me (Completed)

OH BOY!

I was sulking the entire morning. I felt cheated. She promised I will get a prize for being a good boy when I left her eating last night. And to add insult to the injury, she woke up full of energy.

"Linisin mo yung bathroom. Ako na magliligpit sa kusina."

"Sabi mo ikaw maglilinis dito!" I complained but went to the bathroom anyways.

Ive no qualms cleaning. I grew up without househelp in the house, so Mom demanded that Dad and I help in the household or else we wont eat at all. I complained for complaining. I felt like Im being punished.

"Nasan na kasi yung premyo ko! Nagpromise ka eh."

I was already done cleaning the bathroom and I followed her in the kitchen like a sad puppy.

"Binigay ko na nga kagabi."

"Pano mo binigay eh wala naman akong natanggap?"

"Kasalanan ko ba kung tulog ka nung binigay ko? Hala! Palitan mo na yung mga kubrekama at mga punda. Ako na magsasalang ng labada."

"Maine naman eh." Im not complaining about the chores, but the fact that she doesnt want to at least tell me what the prize Im suppose to be have received last night.

"Wag mo kong i-Maine Maine dyan. Dali na at magsasalang muna ako ng labada bago ako magluto."

I walked with shoulder dropped in the bedroom and started looking for clean sheets for the bed.

She followed and leaned on the frame of the door. I could see her smiling at my back when I started taking the old sheets off of the bed.

"Akin na yan." She took the old sheets from my hands.

"Ano gusto mong ulam?" She asked me.

"Yung prize ko?"

She laughed at my face.

"Dont give me that long face. Maganda yung prize ko kagabi. Gagawa na lang ako ng homemade burgers." And she marched out of the bedroom.

"Ang daya naman kasi." I muttered under my breath.

"Bilisan mo na dyan. Magwawalis ka pa sa living room."

For the first time in my life, I felt the urge to stuck my tongue at her back.

"Masarap ba?" She asked.

I had to admit, her burger is delicious but I still felt like sulking so I just nodded.

"Iluwa mo yang dila mo. Nalunok mo ata!"

I gave an unaudible response.

"Para kang bata dyan!" She pinched my nose before I could turn away.

"Meng naman kasi..."

She stuck her tongue at me. "Kahit kulitin mo pa ako dyan, hindi ko sasabihin sayo. Binigyan na nga kita ng premyo gusto mo ikwento ko pa? Sobra ka na, Alden!"

"Ako pa ngayon sobra!"

"Bilisan mo na dyan kasi gusto ko dumaan kina Matt. Bisitahin natin yung mga bata. I called Sofia kanina. Sabi ko ipapasyal natin sila."

"Anong sabi ni Sofia."

"Nashock nga ata sa tuwa eh. Finally daw masosolo nya si Matt."
