Chapter 59 (part II)

A/N: Sorry for the super tagal na update. I've been suffering from writer's block kasi. And I'm so busy with school activities. Anyway, here's the 2nd part of chapter 59! Hindi pa po ito ang POV ni Jade Alecson. Advanced Merry Christmas!

-Chelsey's POV-

 (December 25)

"Remember when I told you I love you?" Suddenly, I stopped from eating. I look up to him with my forehead creased.

"Y-Yes. Why?" I asked, trembling. Afraid he might say something that can spoil this great moment. This remarkable moment with him. Baka bigla niyang bawiin, baka nagbago na ang isip niya tungkol sa akin, sa amin. He might... dump me.

Ano ka ba Chelsey! Why would he do that. Right, I'm just being paranoid.

He smiles genuinly. And just by that, all my worries vanished in the air.

"I really mean it." And this time, ako naman ang napangiti.  Bago pa man ako makapagsalita, inunahan na niya ako. "The moment I said that, I told myself that I will do anything on my will just to prove my love for you and that I am worthy of your love as well. I suppose you're aware of the changes I possesed simula noong dumating ka sa buhay ko. You... You made me into a better person, Chelsey. It was like... I was brought back to life."

And with that, I wasn't able to hold back my tears. Naiyak ko sa harapan ni Alecson. Tumayo siya mula sa kinauupuan niya at pinuntahan ako.

"Babe, did I say... Did I say something wrong? Sht! Why are you crying?" Nagaalalang tanong niya. I just shook my head. Hindi ko magawang magsalita. Sobrang naantig ang puso ko sa sinabi niya. It was too overwhelming for my heart. Not in a bad way, in a very positive and glorious way. He kept on cursing while I just shook my head habang umiiyak.

"Chelsey, please speak. Say something. Nababaliw na ako dito." Pagmamakaawa niya. He was holding both of my hands tightly. Na para bang, natatakot siyang bitawan ako... And I was doing the same. Nagkatinginan kaming dalawa. My tears continuously falling.

The first word I said was, "Surreal..." Mas lalong nag-alala ang ekspresyon ni Alecson. I tried to choke back my tears. Pinunasan ko ang pisngi ko and smiled genuinely at him. "This... everything is just so... unbelievable. Para akong nasa isang magical land. Hindi kapani-paniwala. It's like a fairytale." I looked around taking in this magical moment I am currently in. The ambiance, the food, even the way the dining table was set. Perfect. It's like a mere work of a fairy. If that exist at all.

Slowly, his worried feature turn into a wide smile. "Silly." He pinched my nose. "Don't you think you're a little too old for fairytales?" Sasagot sana ako but he cut me off by saying, "On second thought. Some parts of it is real. "

I sniffed and eyed him skeptically. "Which part?"

"The part where they say, and they lived happily ever after..." He smiles at me. "One day, masasabi ko din 'yan." He closed his eyes. "And we lived happily ever after." He said dreamily and looks at me. He took my right hand at his left chest. "Can you feel that babe? My heart, it beats only for you." Alam ko masyado ng common at cheesy ang line na iyon. Pero hindi ko pa rin mapigilang kiligin at maluha.

"You're crying again!" He said, amused.

"Ikaw kasi. Napaka... corny mo!" Hinampas ko ang braso niya at inalis ang kamay ko mula sa pagkakahawak niya. Pinunasan ko muli ang pisngi ko. He cupped my face with both of his hands and looked at me passionately.

"I love you so, Chelsey. Always remember. You're my first love and definitely my last! Alam kong masyado pang maaga para sabihin ito. I know we're too young. Ni hindi pa nga tayo nakakatunton sa college. But can you blame me? You got me so whipped by your glamour! I know I was hooked the moment you shouted at me." He shook her head and laughed wryly. "Who would've thought that a reckless gangster like me would fall in love with a clumsy petite nagger like you. And most specially, you fell for this careless and rigid man. You fell for me." Natawa siya sa sarili niya. Pero ako, jeez! My heart was swelling with so much joy.

"And I was captivated by you the moment I laid my eyes at your beautiful being, Jade. Don't you ever feel less about yourself. You have a passionate heart, and an alluring soul. You are great in every way."

He chuckled. "Explains why you love me so much. You cried a river for me. Haha!" Aba't! Ayos na sana eh. Ayun na eh. Maiiyak na sana ako ulit sa sobrang saya. Sus talaga ang gangster na ito! Tuwang-tuwa pa dahil umiyak ako noong nawala siya.

"You conceited prick!" I playfully pinched his nose and we laughed together.. And from that moment, I know everything will be alright again. We just have to endure this trial for a little more. And eventually get through all of this, together. 

The clock struck 12 and fireworks lit up the night sky.

"Merry Christmas babe." He said as he guided me towards the edge of the rooftop. Yes, nag-dinner kami ni Jade sa rooftop ng hotel nila Kelsey. Nasa resort parin nila kami noh. Nag-set si Jade ng dinning for us dito sa rooftop. How sweet di ba? May fireworks pa siyang nalalaman! Ang corny talaga!

We watched the sparkling glow of the fireworks while holding each other's hand.

"You are my saving grace. I love you to infinity and beyond." And our night was sealed with a heartfelt kiss.

My christmas couldn't be merrier! This was probably the best Christmas eve of my sixteen years.

"Uyyy! Someone's in a really good mood this glorious Christmas morning!" Pang-aasar sa akin ni Allyson.

"Yes, so don't ruin it please." I said at binelatan siya. She frowned at me and walked out. Tahimik akong nakaupo sa may sea shore at pinakikinggan ang mga alon.

"Nice view huh?" Nilingon ko si Jade na tumabi sa akin.

"Yeah. Sobrang nage-enjoy nga sila eh." Sabi ko sabay turo sa mga Knights at mga kaibigan ko na nagtatawanan at kwentuhan sa may kubo.

He smirked. "Mas maganda pa rin sa resort namin." I punched him softly and he laughed. Umisod siya palapit sa akin. "I'm sorry."

Nabigla ako kaya nilingon ko siya. "For what?"

"For my absence. For the burden you've been through the past weeks 'coz of me. You know I never intend on doing that. If only I had a choice, never would I do that."

I smiled at him."I understand Alecson. Wala namang kaso sa akin iyon. Ang gusto ko lang, malaman and dahilan ng pagkawala mo."

"Ofcourse I will tell you. But not now Chelsey. Soon enough, you'll know." Hinawakan niya ang kamay ko and interlaced our fingers.

"But why not now?"

"It's just, complicated. But I promise to tell you once it's not haywired anymore." I saw sincerity and fear in his eyes. Napabuntong-hininga ako. Mukhang kailangan ko pa ng maraming patience and trust!

"Okay babe." Hinigpitan niya ang kapit sa kamay ko at saka ngumiti.

"Thank you. Hindi na ulit ako aalis sa tabi mo. I'm so lucky with you, Chelsey. Ikaw na nga ang hinahanap ko! Na sa'yo na ang lahat." Sabay kaming natawa sa sinabi niya.

"Kiss na 'yan!" Pilyang sigaw ng mga kaibigan namin. Natawa nalang kami at naglakad papunta sa kanila. Nakisalo na kami sa kainan at kwentuhan.

Oh well, enjoy nalang muna. But wait... where's Kelsey?
