Chapter 12: Misconceptions
7 months later...
I wake up to Travis grinning from ear to ear. He is so cute sometimes.
"What are you grinning about?"
"We've been together a whole year."
"I don't see why you're smiling about that," I tease.
"Really? Should I give you something to smile about?"
"Mmm, I mean if you want to."
His arms tighten around me, so I have no escape then he smashes our lips together. Our mouths fight for dominance for a while. Next thing I know Travis is on top of me straddling my hips. He is such a tease.
"Travis.. Just do it already," I say while he trails kisses all over my body.
"Not until you scream my name." He smirks and I roll my eyes.
"Trust me there will be plenty of screaming once you get started."
"No I want you to scream now."
"Travis..."
"I can't hear you babe."
Just as I begin screaming our bodies become one.
.......
"I love you," I say.
"And I love you."
"Thank you for a wonderful year."
"I love you Melody."
"Always?"
"Forever and always."
How did I get a guy like this? It still gets to me every day.
"So what are we doing today?"
"That is for me to know and you to find out."
I pout my lips hoping for some answers; but it's no use.
"I need to run into town for a few errands, I'll be back in a few hours." Just like that he gets dressed and leaves. I sigh, I thought we could just spend the entire day together. But with it being Sunday I guess he has to get stuff ready for the week ahead. After slipping on one of his tshirts I make my way to the kitchen.
First things first. Coffee. I go over to the coffee pot, and it's just my luck we are out of both coffee and milk. I can't function without my morning coffee.
At first I think about calling Travis and seeing if he will bring me coffee. I know he would, but I don't want to bother him.
I decide to take a quick shower. This is probably the first shower I've taken by myself in a while. Honestly the privacy is nice. I stand under the warm water until it starts getting cold.
I quickly blow dry my hair and get dressed. I decide on jeans and an aqua chiffon tank top with some gladiator sandals. I decide to go ahead and curl my hair so I won't waste my time with Travis when he gets home. I quickly throw on some light makeup, grab my purse, and then head out to my truck.
I think about texting my mother to join me for coffee, but then decide against it. Our relationship is still really rocky. She apologized for calling me a slut, but still thinks that I shouldn't be living with Travis. I've explained to her over and over that he hasn't had a drop of alcohol in months. She still won't believe me though.
After our fight at dinner I called Cam and chewed her out over the phone. She felt really bad, and said she was just worried. She also explained how she didn't approve of Travis until she realized how much he cared about me, so on and so forth.
