Chapter 7: SOS & Love

He was just sitting on the porch. I stood there for a long time pondering what to do. I decided I still didn't want to talk to him. I went upstairs and got changed into my jeans, boots, and a plaid shirt. 

When I got down stairs I slipped through the back door, and started walking to the pond.

When I got to the pond I sat under my favorite tree to think. The only thing I could think to do was pray. I prayed for Travis, for me, for Cameron, for guidance, and most of all I prayed for an answer. But God works in mysterious ways. I didn't expect the answer I was about to get.

I was snapped out of my peaceful daze when I heard someone approaching. I figured it was just Cam coming to tell me she was leaving and to call if I needed anything. But instead Travis was the one who appeared. I let out a long and deep sigh.

"What are you doing hear Travis?" My tone wasn't harsh it was just tired.

"We need to talk."

"We already talked. You made things very clear outside the bar."

"No we didn't I was drunk. I didn't mean anything I said, please just listen to me."

"Why should I?"

"Because I'm in love with you, and I know you're in love with me. These kind of things don't just change over night."

"Travis you have a drinking problem. I don't think I should surround myself with that."

"I know.. I just.. I can get help. I promise.. Please just give me a chance."

I just stared blankly at the pond no emotion spread on my face.

"I need you Melody, I need you like I need air. You are the one who makes me happy. I would spend every minute, every hour, every second of everyday with you if I could. You are the most beautiful, smart, and funny woman I've ever met. You loved me when I least expected it. You showed me a whole new world. You gave me a new perspective, but most of all you gave me a reason to live. You have no idea the effect you have had on me. So, baby, I need you to give me another chance, because I don't think I... No, I know I can't live without you."

I just stared at him, in shock. I believed every word that just came out of his mouth. And I felt the exact same way. I needed him. That I was sure of. Before I knew what I was doing I was up and jumping into his arms. I could hear him let out a sigh of relief. I found myself crying, and I couldn't stop no matter how hard I tried. Travis noticed and started kissing my cheeks instead of wiping the tears away with his hands. This made me start giggling.

"Stop teasing and just kiss me already." He didn't have to think twice before crushing his lips to mine. 

The kiss was perfect it was everything we had both needed. Full of passion, anger, relief, and love. We stood there embracing eachother for a long time, finally we broke away to catch our breath.

Finally we started walking towards the house hand in hand.

When we arrived I saw Cam standing on the porch with her hands on her hips. A smile broke across her face when she saw us.

"I guess I will just be going, call if you need anything... like a condom," She mumbled the last part under her breath, but I heard it. My eyes were practically popping out of my head.

"Cameron! Oh my god. Just leave before I strangle you." She started laughing and climbed in her car. 

"I'm sorry my sister.. She's.."

"It's okay, my brother's the exact same way. Anyways will you come over to my house for dinner tonight? I want to make everything up to you."

"Yeah, that sounds great."

"Can you come over in two hours?"

"Well I kind of already have a date for tonight..." His face went pale and I just about fell over laughing. When he realized I was just joking he picked me up and kissed me.

"See you in two hours." With that he climbed into his truck and drove off.

When I walked into Travis' house I smelled Italian food. Mmm my favorite. I walked into the kitchen, and he didn't realize I was there. He was busy working over the stove. I walked over and wrapped my arms around his toned waist and put my head on his shoulder.

"All for me?" I batted my eyes which made him laugh.

"Well I was planning on eating too.. But I mean if you're that hungry." His face broke into a smile, resulting in him getting punched in the arm.

"Shut up and kiss me." The kiss was sweet and short. 

When Travis was done cooking he lead me to a small table outside on his back patio. He had put lights everywhere, and it was perfect. It looked like the spahgetti scene out of Lady and The Tramp, but also had the feeling of the 'Kiss the Girl' scene in The Little Mermaid. How did I find someone like him? He definitely wasn't perfect, but I loved him more for being imperfect.

We made a little small talk over dinner, but it mostly included me laughing hysterically the entire time.

I helped Travis bring in all of the silverware after dinner. While we were washing dishes I decided to take the soap bubbles and put it all over his face. This got me picked up and held captive while he tickled me . After a while it turned into a kiss. 

He held me in his arms and our lips moved in sync. Things got heated very quickly. I was pinned to the wall. I wrapped my legs around his waist and ran my fingers through his hair.

I broke away from our kiss, "Let's take this to the bedroom."

"Are you sure?" I just nodded in reply and he carried me to his bedroom.

Once there he laid me on his bed but never broke our kiss. I started undoing his belt, while he undid the buttons on my shirt. Soon I was only wearing my bra and panties, while he was completely naked. My eyes trailed down his beautiful and toned body. I let out a moan knowing he was all mine.

He continued undressing me.

"You're beautiful," He whispered before I was completely his.
