Chapter 15: Practically Perfect
The next morning I wake up filled with pure happiness. I can't believe I'm marrying the love of my life. The excitement, nervousness, happiness, and joy I feel is amazing. I've never felt so alive. He actually loves me. More than I ever thought. I just can't believe I am his and he is mine. It's this amazing feeling laying in his arms with our bodies tangled together.
I think last night was one of the best nights of my life so far. Travis is still sleeping but I'm completely content laying here staring at his face. He's so beautiful. He looks so innocent while he sleeps. His sandy hair falls across his forehead, his pink lips are turned into a smile, his brows aren't furrowed like they usually are while his mind is alive during the day; and I love the occasional freckle he has on his face. His beautiful eyelashes start fluttering and I know he's about to wake up.
A grin spreads across both of our faces when his eyes open. I don't know why but I start giggling and I hide my face in the crook of his neck. He laughs at my strange reaction. I feel myself blushing and I don't know why.
"Look at me," He says.
"No thank you."
"Why?"
"Just because."
He lifts my head head up so I'm looking into his eyes.
"Why are you blushing? You're beautiful."
"I don't know." I look down from him.
"What's wrong babe?"
"Nothing's wrong. I just feel so timid today."
"You're adorable."
"Thanks," I grumble. I sigh and lay my head on his chest. I lift my left hand up and start admiring my ring.
"Do you like it?" I can hear the worry in his voice. Then it hits me I am engaged. My eyes go wide at the thought, and he looks at me with a bemused expression.
"You're emotions are very amusing this morning."
"We're engaged."
"Yeah we are." He smiles and I can't help but smile back.
"I feel bad for what happened yesterday."
"You had every right to be upset. I probably wouldv'e done the same thing in your position. But why were you out and about anyways?"
"Awww man."
"What? You weren't meeting anyone were you?" His eyebrows furrow with worry. He is so cute. I can't help but feel kind of turned on by his jealousy.
"We were out of coffee, so I went to Starbucks." He frowns.
"You could've had me bring you something."
"I didn't want to bother you."
"I wish you would have."
"I'm going to hold you to that promise you know."
"Good."
"I love you so much."
"I love you more."
"I don't think so.."
"I think so...."
We argued over who loved the other more for at least ten minutes before it turned into a very hot make out session; which progressed into other things... If you know what I mean.
.......
"I'm never going to get tired of that," I say out of breath.
"That makes two of us."
