liana's pov

When Luke came over to my lunch table, all he did was introduce himself to everyone and ask for help on Chem homework. He was a little awkward, but I was relieved it wasn't like a forced uncomfortable conversation. I'm not the best at Chemistry, but I'm sure him asking me was more about getting to spend time with me. I wasn't complaining.

I got to my 7th period study hall and asked Mrs. Wilbur if I could go to the library. She pursed her lips, but said yes. She was probably sick of letting so many of her students go to the library, but there wasn't much you could do in the classroom.

I walked into the library and looked around, wondering if Luke was here yet. I spotted him, waving, at one of the desk tables near the corner of the library. I strolled over to him and sat down.

"Okay so i have like no idea what I'm doing, so you're in for dealing with a lot of my annoying stupidity and I am so sorry." Luke warned me, while laughing.

"Well maybe you'd understand it better if you'd stop fooling around with Michael and actually pay attention in class." I teased with a smirk.

"Hey, you don't pay that much attention either!" He said.

I tossed my hair behind my shoulder as I said "Well, I don't really need to." with subtle cockiness.

"Oh that's right. Because you're just sooo smart." Luke said slowly while leaning forward, his face closer to me than before. Wow, he is really hot.

We finally stopped bantering and got to work. As I was helping him, he would occasionally look at me and smile, showing his super adorable dimples. We worked on his homework for the entire period. I think I got him to understand some of the material at least a little better. Spending some more time with him today made me realize maybe I do actually like him. He's cute, funny, nice, and talented. Maybe it wasn't so bad to have a crush on someone. I've never liked someone before that might even like me back.

kennedy's pov

"What do you think is going on with Liana and Luke?" I asked Nella.

"They just started texting and now she's helping him with his homework. So, nothing really." She replied.

"C'mon! Luke definitely likes her and Liana is just denying that she most likely likes him back."

"Yeah, but we don't know anything for sure yet. They would be cute together though." Nella said with a small smile and shrug.

"Right?" I said enthusiastically. "That would be so cool if they dated. Then we could probably hang out with the rest of the band too. I like Australian boys. Especially musicians." I jokingly smirked. "Hopefully Luke doesn't find out that we used to mock them and recreate their pictures and videos." Nella and I both laughed.

"Please stop all the chatting. Let's get started." Our teacher said. I turned away from Nella and back towards the front of the classroom. Mostly during class, I just thought about if Luke and Liana ever start dating, and what would happen then. I was excited for them. Hopefully Liana admits her feelings to herself and Luke. Her other friends and I seem to know her better than herself at times. She deserves to like someone and for him to like her back.
